How to Assemble Your First Skateboard and What Are the Best Parts to Get

How to buy parts for and setup your first skateboard from scratch! Today we'll be going over cutting grip tape, installing bearings, and putting on trucks.

Now that you've decided to get your own skateboard, it's time to head to the shop and start picking out all the components you want. This video will give you advice on which parts to buy and show you how to assemble them into a complete skateboard.

Just snapped my deck today so this video came in handy moving parts from my old set up to the new one! Thank you!!

I ended up going with Bone's swiss bearings, but noticed they didn't have a red side and a non red side like yours, but I just made sure the side that says all the information about the bearing is on the outside of the wheel. Hopefully that is correct. It's been skating fine today so I assume it's good. Also! My bone's swiss came with four of these hollow cylindrical shells essentially along with the eight bearings. I have no clue what they are for! Do you know? Thanks Justin!
