The best part of building a keeb is finally finishing it and then realizing it's just a keyboard.

Now we need a "Josie builds a computer" video.

The fact that she used all of her lifelines shows that there's still a ton of progress to go in making custom keyboards more accessible.

I think we can all agree that the fact that she arrived to "less is more" is a complete win for the community lol

As a techy, its refreshing to see someone make decisions like this (CUZ ITS YELLOW she'll be so much more happy with the result.

This was an absolutely great video. And I apologize cus my switch reviews are overwhelming sometimes, really put into perspective that the general majority have no idea what I’m saying LOL. Great job hipyo!

I’m not gonna lie I agree with the “The best part of building keyboards is the friends we made along the way” I’ve had a great time talking with people and learning in discord severs. I think it’s a great experience to be new to something and have people who don’t know just help you because you have a common interest. Very wise Hipyo very wise.

I wanted to build my own keyboard for a long time, so finally went on YouTube to see the process.
I can confidently say I no longer want to build my own keyboard. Thanks for the perspective!

PSA for beginner builders: If you have a hot swap board, when you put on the switches, make sure you support the back of the socket when putting on the switches because it’s possible to pop off the hot swap socket if you don’t. Trust me it’s not fun trying to fix a popped socket especially if the pad comes off. It doesn’t happen often, but better safe than sorry I always say

I’d like to personally thank hipyo for helping me select all the pieces for my board as well as directing me on lubing techniques. Great video. :)

Josie 100% has the vibes of someone whose favorite color is yellow. invincible

Always love outsider perspective into enthusiast fields. I definitely feel her struggle with lubing.
Huge props to Josie for doing all this work and I hope she enjoys the keeb!

Hearing the sound test on the keyboard she made brought a smile to my face. It sounded super good for someone who never built a board before and did an excellent job. She should be proud of herself.

I’ve never built one in my life and watching her gave me so much inspiration to try and do it
