I love it when Jean triumphantly says: “My emotions make me strong.” Because she’s spot on right. That’s why all our demons try to make it too painful for us to feel emotions. Jean finally turned all her pain into strength and personal healing. Even for an X-Men film that wasn’t as good as hoped for, this is now one of my favourite X-Men film scenes thanks to Sophie as Jean.

2:24 Really liked how the Cosmic explosion was “too” bright for Magneto, Cyclops, Beast, and Xavier. Yet Storm was the only one who could’ve properly stare at it since her mutation allowed for her to withstand extremely HOT temperatures, which means she’s immune to brightness. But notice how she still has to cover at first since the Phoenix surpasses her powers by an immense amount of levels

For those who wondered, she is alive, now the explanation is complicated: (is just a theory, possible explanation):
1- Jean Grey was born with a fragment of the Phoenix, which will explain why the Phoenix Force was attracted to her. That means that here she allows herself along with her Phoenix fragment to merge with the Phoenix Force, becoming one.
2- Jean Grey was born with the Phoenix inside of her, and the Cosmic Force feels attracted to it so it goes inside Jean. That means that here Jean (embracing the Phoenix) merges with the Cosmic Force, becoming the Phoenix Force as a result (which will explain why the Cosmic Force doesn't have a name or form, it takes a name and a form thanks to Jean Grey and the Phoenix inside of her). Then this film would be a Phoenix Force creation story.
3- Kinberg was too lazy or too afraid to address the whole issue (lol).

I really like how Jean’s always one step ahead everyone. Because she can hear their thoughts

When she's going all fire and ash its symbolic of the Phoenix. She shows one bird form only to explode and come back as another, as the Phoenix rises from the ashes of its old self to create a new one. Her and the Phoenix become one to create a new entity.

1:19 One of my favorite shots. Great cinematography. And the hair effects are clever and on point.

2:01 This is the moment Jean fully transformed into the Phoenix and I almost cried at her beauty.

Anyone else notice the infinity symbol ♾ at 2:19 - 2:20? Symbolising that Jean’s ‘death’ is also a rebirth into the immortal and infinite Phoenix.

I like how at 1:30, Jean gives Charles a little nod letting him know what's going to happen

This scene where jean embraces the phoenix is beautiful, making her the most powerful women in the marvel universe, more powerful than captain marvel.

"My emotions make me strong." That's a powerful line for women.

Notice in the films, the Phoenix form only appears when Jean is being heroic.
X2 - When she sacrifices herself at Alkali lake
Apocalypse - Stops him and saves the day
Dark Phoenix - Stops Vuk and sacrifices herself
That's why we don't see it in The Last Stand because she was the villain in that film.

I LOVE when she finally transforms into the Phoenix at 2:01. She’s so majestic! Phoenix > Captain Marvel
