Sometimes wonder if this scene with the projectiles and panning camera and stuff would be possible to be done back in the 1930s, back when the original Wizard Of Oz movie played by Judy Garland was made, like- how would they done the effects? would they use hidden film cut for the panning shot as the camera did get thrown around, how will they do the flying carnival organ part? will they drop it to the ground with some dry ice smoke effect being pushed by a fan? kinda like how they did the Dorothy's house falling on the camera effect. It makes me wonder how would they done it/attempt replicating the scene in this alternate 1930s timeline.

This movie definitely had its moments, though it was virtually impossible for _Wicked_ to avoid looking similar once finally brought to the screen. Though I can't imagine why they wouldn't have used sepia (which was intended to portray Kansas as a desolate purgatory) over black-and-white, I thought this nod to the 1939 classic was clever.
