Miss Lori, everytime I watch your videos I feel like I'm visiting an old friend, and attending the best home economics class ever.

That's an extremely important step to do! Looking thru that Vent Hole. I canned the other day, and after cleaning up, I looked thru the hole and..IT WAS BLOCKED! I took a toothpick cleaned it out. Wow...I never thought that would block up after 2 canning sessions. Don't skip that step!

My wife and I are both farm raised, live in the city for now and just recently got back into canning, thank you for sharing this valuable information and skill. When I was a kid my parents had a room in our basement we all referred to as the "Fruit Room" as that is where they kept all of the fruit and what not they canned. I can still picture all the rows of Peaches, Pears, Plums, Cherries and Apple Butter. Two chest freezers full of meat and garden vegetables and usually two 100 pound bags of potatoes in a cool place, with seven in the family you learn to save where you can and eat what's set in front of you. Love watching your channel.

Thank you, Miss Lori! Today I got over my fear of pressure canning and put up 16 jars of black beans, thanks to you! After watching your video about four times I had enough courage and knowledge to simply go for it! My hubby’s grandma would be proud to know someone is still enjoying her old school All American pressure canner. I bet I made her smile in Heaven today❤
I appreciate you more than you know, thank you for such wonderful videos.

I canned 18 pints of white potatoes last night and 9 pints of baby carrots today. So thankful I learned to can last summer. It’s a true blessing.

Good presentation! I also keep a couple of jars of dried beans already measured with beans, salt and spices (except water) handy in order to fill up the canner if I don't have a full canner! If you like hummus, try the garbanzo beans with a couple hunks of red bell pepper and a clove or two of garlic! When ready to use add the jar to a food processor with about a tbs of olive oil and you have instant hummus!

I use canning beans for filling a canner. When I'm canning something else and I'm short a jar or 2 that's when I always stick in some beans

That’s how I sort thru my beans, only on a cookie sheet. Put on music or videos and pick thru. I actually do the entire bag, and repackage in quart bags. Then, when I’m ready to do beans, I know that part has been done. Whatever works right!! Love your video and presentation. Thank you!

I just found your channel today as a YouTube suggestion. I’ve watched about a half dozen videos. Love the canning videos I’ve seen on potatoes and these dry beans! Can’t wait to try some of both. I haven’t canned in a few years and was a beginner then so I’m really starting over. Thanks for being so thorough with beginner basics!

Miss Lori, I just want you to know I am learning so much from you. My mom is in her 80s and doesnt remember all the steps she used to do, so between you and her I am canning on my own for the first summer ever. Thank you for all the information that you share. It is invaluable. Blessings

Ms Lori I've been binge watching your videos today and have commented on some of your older videos. I could watch you all day. Thank you for sharing this it was so helpful. One of the videos I watched earlier was your home made butter milk pancakes with butter milk syrup. I'm so intrigued by this. LOL I've never heard of butter milk syrup. I was wondering if you can store the left over butter milk syrup or should you just make it each time you want it? My mom isn't much of a fan of syrup but I think she would like this if I made her some. Hope you and Mr Brown are doing good and your family. You don't know this but I've adopted y'all as my family hope ya don't mind. Sending lots of love from Ky. Stay safe

I thank you very much for reintroducing me to canning. I have always loved canning. As our children grew and moved out it was just the 2 of us and I stopped having a garden so we could go camping, fishing, and just have fun with each other after working long days. After being introduced to YouTube and finding you, l started canning things from the freezer and gathering bulk as I found them. What enjoyment. You have inspired me and I thank you for that. 💖Robin.

Hi, love this video! I've canned green beans, tomatoes and such for many years but never tried beans or sauerkraut which are now on my canning list. Also, just started watching your videos on canning and wondered if you had one for canning pumpkin butter. My daughter was gifted a jar that was made commercially in a glass jar and it was delicious. If you grow pumpkins there's always a lot. Never canned pumpkin for pies or baked goods either. Would you consider a video on this? I know they won't be coming in till the end of the season. I'm watching you canned chicken video next. Thanks for all the good information and keep the videos on canning coming.

I love canning. Helped my Momma & Mamas since I was a little girl and use to have quilts or sheets in floor piled high with green beans etc. to breakup. What great memories.
