Dr. Idriss. Thank you for this content. I am an Haitian-American, U.S. born woman. Age 41. I used a cream product over my eyes that caused severe hyperpigmentation around my eyes. I accidentally caused this discoloration around my eyes myself. I visited a dermatologist and the young dermatologist (native of India), tried gaslighting me by saying “No. That’s not the reason you have discoloration. It’s due to genetics and race.” I explained No. I had an allergic reaction and hyperpigmentation formed but this doctor refused to believe me. Instead he suggested I try treating my discoloration by purchasing a cream on Amazon with the caffeine ingredient. This young doctor was probably 23/ 24 at best. He wouldn’t even look at my skin in depth. You are providing more info that is helpful than what this dermatologist Dr provided me. Thank you.
