I love that at first you were kinda serious, but now you’ve been making videos for a while you’re really letting your personality shine - you are SO funny as well as informative.

I swear by alpha arbutin, it brightens and doesn’t irritate my skin.

Yeah hydroquinone is the fastest but very risky because of rebound hyperpigmentation

Niacinamide works the best for me. I had hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, blemishes, acne scars, acne, open pores and etc. Plus my skin is super sensitive and easily burn under the sun.😢 It cleared up my skin in just 2 months😅 worth every penny i spent. Even my friends were shock at my new smooth, glowy and brighten skin.

surprised azelaic acid didn't make the list; it's been shown to work as well as hydroquinone in several melasma trials.

Can you please do an updated version with tranxemic acid, glycolic acid, niacinamide, azaleic acid and glutathione

Hydroquinone is banned here. I’ve tried vitamin C (skinceuticals), B3, etc. Prescription azelaic acid transform my face. I was already using prescription retinol (tretinoin) so maybe it’s due to the combination. But within two weeks of adding prescription azelaic acid to my routine my face was bright, glowing. I think it’s the antioxidant qualities. Vitamin C is a complete ripoff. Go for prescription not over the counter products and you can get it all online and cheaper than all the OTC products sold by cosmetic companies that mostly just drain your wallet and not all that effective (that’s if you can tolerate prescription retinol).

I can’t tell you how happy I am that more and more people are talking about Kojic Acid. About 17 years ago, right after high school, I somehow stumbled upon a Kojic Acid soap. I used it to treat my PIH from acne I had in high school. I was diligent with it, and It worked like magic. Every time I got some sort of hyperpigmentation ever since, I always sought the soap out. It is fragranced as hell, but I didn’t have much options until the last two or so years.

Kojic acid soap is the og here in the Philippines. It does brighten your skin but you have to use it daily and stay away from the sun

Following using riceberry face serum by littleextrrra for three weeks, here's what I experienced:
Pros: It efficiently softens and evens out the skin, giving it a subtle glow. I've also seen a reduction in my genetic dark circles (avoiding the eye area is recommended). It has also helped fade dark spots on my sister's skin.
Cons: Personally, I have dry and dull skin, and using the serum daily exacerbated my dryness.
I advise using it three times a week along with a quality moisturizer to avoid dryness. I haven't seen any noticeable improvement in tanning or skin tone issues in first 3 weeks.
Update 2 months later: After nearly two months of regular use, I consider it my favorite face serum. It has started showing positive results. My skin glows, dark circles lessened, and dark spots reduced a lot. So patience is important when using this serum.

The OG whitening soap in the Philippines was papaya soap specially in the early 90s. During early 2000s Kojic acid was already introduced. Then, the latest now in the Philippines is Niacinamide soap for brightening and for younger looking. Just stay away from the sun during 9 am to 3 pm because during those hours there's a high risk of harmful UVA/UVB coming from sun rays. UVA is a longer wavelength that penetrates deeper into the skin, reaching layers beneath the surface. UVA rays are associated with skin aging and inflammation and can lead to skin cancer. UVB: Shorter UVB waves cause skin to burn. UVB is a major driver of skin cell mutations that cause skin cancer. Always wear sunscreen spray or lotion (SPF 30 and above). The cheapest way and non chemical approach is wearing a jacket/ longsleeve with hat or having a black umbrella. According to some sources, black umbrella is more effective in penetrating the harmful effects of UVA/UVB rays. I hope these informations will help.

I've used papaya soap from the Philippines since my teen. Been using for about 7yrs because I have had bad acne all over my cheek and chin. Those soap helps my skin looks brighter/whiter and somehow calm my acne. Only left with redness. Then I stopped using cause it made my skin so dry. Now I used niacinamide. Thankfully my skin clears out and there's not much scar from acne. 😊

Yes. I had a terrible discoloration in & above an eyebrow about 4 inches long. I tried some things first but bought a $9 tube of hydroquinone. May have been AHA brand.

I can't remember how long I used it, but it completely erased the discoloration. I had to be careful because if I left it on too long it caused a sore with scabbing. I figured out how to best use it and was absolutely astonished at how well it worked. The dark spot was completely gone. This was in the 1990s & it hasn't returned. But then I stopped tanning my face. The tube also listed the % strength which many really expensive solutions didn't do. I love your videos. Thanks for sharing such great information.

For me glycolic acid is the best it legit makes my shade 4 times lighter, doesnt make me look pale but makes me look moisturized

I am Indian so almost all dermatologist recommend hydroquinone and tret to my mum who has sensitive skin and some melasma. It backfired so bad for her.... Now she uses kojic acid and liquorice root extract...so far it's working good, slower than other two options but definitely better for sensitive skin
