Luffy having years to train his haki, and having Garp’s physical training, from a very young age, all the way to him leaving to become a pirate, he would be a monster, if Kody could outdo Garp’s punch with just 2 years of his training, with most of the time going to his missions.

One minor detail I think you're missing is that Zoan type fruits kinda have a mind of their own, and as such, I believe that, within the vicinity of someone it deems "worthy", in this case Luffy, the Nika fruit will, once again, "call" to his appetite in order to be eaten by him. Probably, if Shanks has it with him during Marineford.

Hot take: Haki really limited the fight creativity after being introduced. Instead of having to work around the logical weaknesses of each unique fruit ability, it became more of a DBZ-esque "Your power level wasn't high enough to damage me, and therefore your attack does nothing."

I found it really refreshing when Law and Kidd trashed Big Mom without Haki by deducing that the weakness of her ability is that others needed to hear her speak. They locked down her ability to automatically win via soul magic, and her homies had very limited to no autonomy without her direct orders.

This is somewhat part of something I've been speculating for a while now: what if Devil Fruits are training wheels/limiters on haki and Luffy and fruit users in general will never be as strong as they could be? Kaido made it a point that Roger conquered the seas without fruit powers, the Red Haired crew has no fruits and are at the top of the Emperors. Most importantly, haki is the natural counter to Devil Fruits, so I feel like that has to mean those powers are at odds in a person's body causing them to never truly reach their potential in one power over another. The bonus part of this theory is that I think Blackbeard will successfully steal Luffy's fruit, but simultaneously unlock Luffy's true natural potential because of it.

OR because the whole idea of Nika is bringing imagination to life, Luffy could be the only one able to fully master both sides. He's the liberator; not just for people but on his own limits. We saw it to an extent in Udon; even with sea stone cuffs which should have had Luffy drained 100% of the time, he trained his body beyond those limits to handle the drain.

This scenario is quite interesting as I personally think that Shanks didn't pay attention to the fruit cuz the fruit may have avoided being eaten by the one who isn't worthy, it's not far-fetched as it avoided the world government for 800 years + when Roger found laugh tail he said he was too early and he kinda was as luffy awakened the fruit in 20 years + I think hyori [idk if I wrote the name right] sent the samurai's 20 years in the future so I'm pretty sure Luffy eating the nika fruit is fate and I'm sure shanks kinda a lil bit knew that Luffy is joy boy or shanks were sure even if the fruit was right there on the counter he was sure the fruit wouldn't be eaten by the one who isn't worthy so this scenario yeah idk

I can imagine Luffy knocking Ace out if he turns back to try to attack Akainu. Luffy didn't go through all that and have Observation Haki to still lose Ace again. He would knock him out and drag him with him. Especially with all the WB pirates, screaming at Luffy and Ace to ignore the taunts and run

Luffy being a haki master when he starts his adventure makes sense, seeing how Garp would go out of his way to teach him more and more maybe even going so far to take unexpected off time from the navy to give himself more time to train luffy, before immediately regretting it seeing how he became a pirate.

I will go as far as saying he might be his Luffy's rival, since Garp was the one to teach him thus would regret it deeply so daily clashed and of course food breaks
