Today we’re going to talk about the real reason behind why you can’t lose weight.
People always say they want to lose weight to feel better. But, that weight loss strategy is backward. You need to get healthy to lose weight, not lose weight to get healthy. The first step of your weight loss journey should really be to focus on feeling healthy first.

Feeling healthy means:
• Having tons of energy
• No stress
• No cravings
• No bloating
• No pain
• No menstrual cycle pain

Weight is a symptom. If you focus on fixing your health, you will lose weight as a byproduct.

Excellent, excellent. Perfect advice, absolutely the truth. Weight gain isn't the cause of poor health, but a symptom. Focusing on health instead of weight loss is what makes healthy weight possible. Thank you.

I beg to differ Dr. Berg, I started a healthy lifestyle about six months ago, eating better and started exercising, high intensity and yoga and managing stress. I began feeling really good and have continued to feel good throughout these six months. The weight dropped about 5lbs in the first two months, but then completely stopped. I continued the healthy habits, despite no weight loss because I was feeling so great. It was actually like taking drugs, I felt such a high and my mind set totally changed. I had no food cravings at all. But in the past three months I have started rapidly gaining weight again for no apparent reason. I'm still feeling good and able to manage stress and sleeping well. There's got to be more to weight loss than healthy eating, exercise, good sleep, stress management and feeling good about yourself. Why won't the weight come off, when you are doing everything right and feeling good about life? I am 44 and don't have any known thyroid or medical conditions and I have about 40lbs to lose.

It doesn't matter how fat you are. What matters is that you are a good person to others and being With Close friends and Family!

This has me thinking about John Bergman saying, [paraphrased from a slide of his] "Health is optional cell function, not lack of symptoms."

Okay, so I adopted a Plant-based diet almost a year ago and at first I was losing effortlessly and slowly which was good because I want to keep it off. After 40 pounds off in October 2015, I hit a wall and have not been able to lose in fact gained 16 pounds. Now since I really didn't know what was making me lose in the first place,   now I don't know how to keep losing. I have at least another 100 pounds that needs to come off. Now I'm restricting and that's never a good method for me. No cravings, better sleep with the help of CPAP, but STRESS, yes still there. Any suggestions Dr. Berg?
