I saw the movie of his history. Boy he had it hard. He may have been a dreamer, but he started out as a lousy business man. It’s amazing how he ended up creating the greatest entertainment empire of all time.

Don’t be sad because he died. Be happy because he was born😢

Walt Disney was an inspiration. But he was still just human (imperfect).

It was interesting to hear how ionic Disney films like Fantasia, Pinocho, Bambi, etc didn’t do well. How ever time has done well for them. Disney has passion and drive. No one can take away from the impact he had on American culture and the world.

You know it is weird to think that Mickey will be 100 years old in nine years... thank you so much for this amazing cartoon world Walt Disney.

Walt Disney just wanted to create a magic wonderland to bring everything together. I am curious as to if he ever met the creator of Peter Pan James Matthew Barrie. There was a duality within Walt Disney himself.

Walt Disney fascinates me as a person, because he WAS a ruthless, obsessive businessman and unforgiving taskmaster, and at the same time he was sincerely devoted to the movies he made and the artists he sheperded. He became so ruthless largely because he truly wanted his work and its achievements to be preserved and appreciated. Those two sides should be incompatible, but they were both in him.

I wish y'all would have mentioned the fact that his father beat him all the time. Lily said up until the end of his life he'd still have nightmares about missing one of the houses on his paper route, because that always ended up in a beating. It's why Roy left home as soon as he possibly could. It didn't stop until Walt was 14. Elias took him down to the basement for a beating, and Walt caught Elias's wrist, telling him, "You will never beat me again."

I’ve been a big fan of his work since I was a kid. If he didn’t make my childhood, I wouldn’t have loved Disney movies

If I could go back in time, I’d try to get to him before he started smoking and warn him so he could live longer. I wonder what life would’ve been like if Walt Disney didn’t die. What would he of thought of the Disney renaissance movies.

Get your facts straight - Walt passed away December 15, 1966, NOT November 30th.

If it weren't for Mickey Mouse, I might've never learned about Walt Disney, and I might've never became an pixel artist or a cartoon artist. Walt Disney has been one of many inspirations for me

That’s not true! He died on December 15th 1966 which was the same day that Verna Felton (the voice of The Fairy Godmother, Flora from Sleeping Beauty, and Aunt Sarah from Lady and the Tramp) and it was ten days after his 65th birthday.

My Grandfather thinks that Walt would be rolling in his grave if he saw his company now. Probably right.
