I have issues with a child affirming a parent. I was molested from 4-12 years old. My mom got back with my abuser after he served his short sentence. When she told me about her decision, I was 15. I was understandably upset but I made a mistake. I told her that I could understand having love towards somebody you spent years with and shared a child. What she heard was it's okay with me if you get back together. It's okay I'm only 15 and I'd have to live there too. It's okay he's an alcoholic that beats Us. So this crap of children affirming, no! It's just what you want to hear And those young enough you groom them into what you want. It's All sickening to me. Get help and quit messing the kids up!

Yes, children are definitely more prone to accepting suggestions. My son identified as a pirate after watching Pirates of the Caribbean. Least harmful thing to identify as, but my point stands.

When I was in college, I knew a lesbian couple who would go on to get married. The more feminine one underwent IVF and had a son. Shortly after he was born, her wife came out as trans. She shaved her head, started dressing as a man, picked a male name, and started taking hormones. The wife who had just had a baby told her she wasn’t supportive of this, that she was not attracted to men and how old she be attracted to her wife now that she was trying to be a man, etc. And the trans one lost her mind over it. They got divorced and the trans one tried to get full custody because her wife (the actual mom…) was “transphobic” for not wanting her spouse to switch genders. So, to clarify, a woman married another woman, one of them decided she was actually a man and started transitioning, and villianized the other one for not accepting it.

Long ago when I studied the journalistic style of writing, I learned that a story about a person gives the person's name the first time it's used in the article, and later references are just the last name. For example, "Ben Shapiro spoke to a remote audience of many listeners. At one point in the presentation, Shapiro asserted that men cannot become women." Now, journactivists go out of their way to use the subject's imagined pronouns.
