So today I’ll tell you why I quit a six-figure job/business for youtube.

💲1 on 1 Talk + My Budget + Stock Investments💲

💰MY M1 FINANCE PORTFOLIO💰 PLUS $10

1. If you don’t know where you're going, you won't know hows it's going
- As you guys know I graduated with a bachelors degree in Accounting ( that’s an average salary of $79,520)
- But while in college I used those skills to start acquiring small business clients and helping them ( and its peak I had 33 clients, worked 3 days out of the week, and made close to 6-8k per month)
- If took that 80k job as an accountant and kept that small business of 96k a year, that would give me an average wage of $176k *( but I quit that ) and before I tell you why, I want to explain one thing

Here is the truth:
- Although things worked out for me just fine and I have my dream job, that I wanted since I was 11 years old ( and it makes me double that money and maybe more )
- I’ve never quit a job, without knowing what was next ( I’ve always acted as if I had 10 kids and a wife that depended on me )
- So before you ever quite an income, do not believe that movie nonsense ( you need to have money saved in case things go wrong, or wait until a surpasses your income for at least 18 consecutive months)
- This is not that movie when you leave your home town and go to LA to chase your dream ( it’s the movie when you save enough for 6 months and have a job lined up and low cost of living lined up, then you go )

And Overall: Here why I quite that Job/Business
- Accountant 79k, 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, 2000 hours a year, and 104,000 hours after 50 years of work ( on this route I was heading towards a great 9-5, great benefits, however, because I know that not where I want to go ( the shiny things didn’t trick me into going after it )
- Small Business 96k, creating a business helping individuals get capital, keep their books okay, and manage debt ( it sounds good but helping someone dig a dipper hole is not for me, plus as demand increase the less time I would potentially have )
- Both these big job, were created and acquired to fund my youtube dream ( they were supposed to pay the bills until things worked out – and they did a lot more than that )

2. Advice On quitting your Job
- I guarantee one thing, that your dream job is not as cool as you probably think it is 95% of the time
- And that it's not just what you do, but its why you do and who you do it for
- I love youtube, but editing 3 videos a day, Optimizing tags, Social media is not what I like ( what I like is helping one person and seeing sparks start to turn In their head, but it’s a long process to get there)

So Advice I would give to myself before quitting a job:
- Why are you quitting it is my first questions ( the answer cannot be I just don’t like it ) – sometimes it's not what you do, but who and why you do it for ( that 95% of my job that I don’t like, is just what I do, but who I do it for is the people that haven’t had the chance to learn that information and Why is because I want to be apart of the reason why you took a positive step in your life )
- Do you have another income lined up or at least 6 months of expenses saved ( I don’t like the fairy tale, things will work out and that money is not important, and being homeless is a good part of your future movie )
- Will quitting make you happier ( money is a great motivator but its not everything, so you got to be honest with what you want in life and what you are willing to do to get it ) – I’m not willing to go to the gym 4-6 hours a day to become Arnold but I’m willing to 1 hour a day to be healthy and fit

Tip: if you can answer those 3 questions truthfully then, it’ll help

Good advice for going for your dreams, Tommy...cause quitting your job without a well thought out plan
equals = Living in a van down by the river.

Hey Tommy, congratulations on following your dreams and doing what feels right for you. I actually have found myself in a similar position as you and feel the same way. After watching this video I feel inspired to not enter the rat race and waste my time and my life doing something that doesn't make me achieve my goals. Thanks you very much and I wish you all the best in life.

Literally been planning for this since November. Can't kick off due to being in part time school and part time work. One more semester then its free game.

My only concern throughout all of this is I have noticed that GenZ's are quitting their jobs to start youtube and instagrm at alarming rates. This begs the question what will happen to the next generation without professionals? Will we have a generation of youtubers without actual professionals? I never thought I would see the day that being a YouTuber would be an aspiration..It is quite disturbing.

Quit not Quite. There’s a spelling error in the title.

Hey Tommy I want to start a niche to take youtube more seriously. I definitely want to keep the videos I made for the past 2+ years and make videos that are not in my niche once in a while. Do I need to have two channels?
