This was good. I haven't read Northanger Abbey, but my opinion of the characters differs from most Austenites. I love how Jane Austen wrote her antagonists. She did an amazing job, imo.

HA! I need to read them, maybe some day! Great list! Something to keep in mind if the time comes!

Hey girl! Ok, I have not read Sense and Sensibility (I might have listened on audio but it’s been too long), so I can’t comment on Mr. Ferrars. I love Captain Wentworth but I do like Mr. Tilney’s personality a lot. He’s a bit fresher in my mind because I read Northanger Abbey last year; so Persuasion is due for a reread to compare these men again. Haha

Knightly is #1 for me - the strength of character & the kindness. (NOT my favorite JA novel)
Colonel Brandon is next, but might be more of a tie with Knightly.
Edward Ferras (sp?) is my least favorite and might be tied with Edmund if it wasn’t for the accounts we get of Edmund as a child with Fanny.
