Hello everyone!
Hope you are all well.
As the restrictions imposed by the government ease off, I got to leave home more often. I feel this puts us all under an obligation to be more responsible.
This vlog took forever to edit because I lost a lot of footage and had low quality quality footage to work with ( I'm sport, of the quality of these shots are not the best)
I will be more careful in the future. I have so many brilliant video ideas in mind but I need to get a hang of the technological side of the things. So wish me luck and thank you so much for bearing with me.
In this vlog, I continued practicing my book buying ban and showed enormous self restraint and didn't buy any more books. I finished reading Mansfield Park by Jane Austen and started reading The Plague by Albert Camus ( after a lot of you guys voted for me to read it on my Instagram @instareesha )
And wow! That book is amazing and by the time this video is up, I'll be don't reading it. I feel like I have been reading amazing books during quarantine this year and for some reason I'm hesitant in things going back to the way they were. With things getting back to normal I'll have less and less time to read. I hope I am keep up with filming videos, your appreciation is what keeps me going 💕

Hope you all enjoy this video ❤️🌝
Happy reading and stay safe 🌚
Reesha 🌸

Probably the best vlog/video on your channel! The overall vibe was so relaxing! Loved it ✨

I highly recommend the Pilot Frixion light highlighters. You can get basic colors or pastels, they don’t cause shadowing on most paper, and it’s erasable. I love using them for annotating books.

I love The Plague and The Iliad! I'm so glad you got the Penguin Deluxe edition of The Iliad. It's truly wonderful in every possible way.

Oh your vlog was so calming! I really enjoyed it!💕 The Butchering Art is in my list too and I am going to check out The Short History Of Medicine! Also it was so sweet of your husband for such a thoughtful gift.☺

Such a lovely and relaxing vlog :) I read The Butchering Art not too long ago and really liked it. I hope you do too! I read The Plague back in school and remember enjoying it a lot, although I don't connect as well with Camus as with his contemporary Jean-Paul Sartre (highly recommend his work as well!)

Another beautiful Vlog by my favorite booktuber :)
Can I just say how much I enjoyed watching this? Also your lighting is perfect in so many shots and the music was a great fit as well. Seeing more of Dubai was wonderful. It seems like such a beautiful place.
And always love your commentary about what you read. I, personally, would have never picked up The Plague during these crazy times. But I think I understand now why now is the perfect time to read it... and maybe learn a little more about ourselves.
Hera is my fave Greek goddess. She is married to Zeus, so she has to be a badass :) Females are very underrepresented in Homer, so I cherish every little piece of text where she does show up. I'm really glad to see you are finding the new translation more enjoyable to read.

Happy (belated) birthday. What a great gift your husband got you. Oh my, I never disinfect my groceries. I've been wanting to read another pandemic book, but I have so many books lined up first. So many books, so little time. lol I'm sorry about the lost info on your phone. That's so frustrating. I've experienced it on my laptop numerous times; precious photos gone. Technology is a double edged word. =/

I'm so jealous of you being able to order from Amazon :p Also, I'm excited to read Mansfield Park now after your review. Mrs. Norris sounded familiar and then you mentioned the Harry Potter thing, and I thought of course, that makes sense. Also, I loved the bookstore you went to! I've never seen so many beautiful versions of The Holy Quran on display like that :D

Your vlogs have really gotten me through quarantine, Reesha! I loved hearing your thoughts on Mansfield Park--it is one that continues to stick with me. I'm curious about the Plague. I'm currently reading A Journal of the Plague Year by Daniel Defoe and he's talking about what happened when the plague struck London in 1665. It's amazing how similar it is to the current situation--and a little bit freaky. Happy reading!

What a lovely vlog! I just found your channel after your collaboration with Nashwa, and if this is less smooth than your usual vlogs, I can't wait to see them! You've also convinced me I need to give The Plague a try. I didn't think it would be something I would enjoy reading during an actual pandemic, but something that is more philosophical about human nature might actually be just the thing.

I never realized that Mrs. Norris the cat was from Jane Austen! How clever! 😻😹

This is such a cozy homy vlog! Your outfit, in the beginning, was beautiful! I need to read Jane Austen too. I still haven't read anything by her. I am sure I'm going to love her novels. I need to read the plague too. Your city is very beautiful 🌞🌟

Reesha, it’s okay, during bloopers at the end, just take your time to think before you speak or say something like I do. Just keep trying, it’s all you can do and your struggle is part of your story! 😊📖 And the background noise, it’s probably the train. 🚊 I love the floral like roses in bouquets 🌹💐❤️ My first favorite flower is cherry blossom. 🌸 I’m so glad that you got your new Canon video camera with tripod as your pre-Birthday gift from your husband! 😁🎁

Reesha Didi, your vlogs are absolutely awesome!!!
I intend to buy Mansfield Park soon as your veiws about the book seemed good. I totally thought the same about that Mrs. Norris thing.
Blue Waters Dubai is such an exquisite place. I desire to visit it someday. I also started watching Lost in Austen on your recommendation and I am loving Amanda Price till now.
I crave to get myself A Short History of Medicine💊by Steve Parker, but it is unavailable in Amazon.
The Deluxe edition is more appealing! I would like reading The Plague by Albert Camus.
Happy Reading!📕📖

PS: The white dress at the beginning and also the Mehendi looked gorgeous. You looked very fascinating!

I'm listening to the Iliad in the same translation (read by Sir Derek Jacobi) it is phenomenal.

I'm glad you enjoyed Mansfield Park! It's one that's really grown on me over time. Fanny is an excellent character. There's a miniseries of it from 1983 or so that I really enjoyed. It's on Prime Video in the US, but not sure about other places. Would recommend it though if you're looking for a good adaptation!
