Network + or CCNA? Which certification should you get?

Which network engineering certification should you start with? Network + or CCNA? It depends on your experience and education. Both certifications require that you know the fundamentals of networking. But there are some differences. Network + is vendor neutral and CCNA prepares you for working on their equipment. CCNA requires more in-depth knowledge with regard to configuration while Network + tends to be a bit more theory based.

I decided to do Network+ first, since I had no networking experience. Now that I’m about halfway through the CCNA material, I’m DEFINITELY glad I did. The configurations alone would blow my mind if I didn’t have the conceptual background that I gained from Network+

I am preparing for the CompTIA Trifecta but what would help me get a job is CCNA, I know that. I wanted to study the fundamentals and I have time on hand. Let's see how things turn out after The Trifecta and CCCNA.
Keep these videos coming. They are motivational.

I have A+ N+ but I think I'm going to go for CCNA just because job listings with CCNA in them are tens of thousands more. Finishing up my Sec+ studies in a month then gunna tackle that CCNA

Hello IpvDre. I hope all is well. I have a another question. Should I also get my Security+ (along with Network+) before getting the CCNA? Because I understand there is also security included within CCNA? Or just ignore the Security+. The only reason why I am asking is because I assume the Security+ would make studying CCNA a whole lot easier?

Should I study the network+ from Coursera or Udemy without taking the exam & jump on ccna? I’m new to IT. I’ve been driving city buses for 10 years now, I’m ready to switch career while I’m on my 30’s.

Hello IpvDre. Thanks for posting this video. Once, I get the A+ certificate. It should be fine to just skip the Network+ and go straight to the CCNA. Isn't it a big challenge to go straight to the CCNA without any Network+ background. I pretty much know the A+ like the back of my hand, and I will take the exam as soon as I get the funds for it.

I’m new in IT. I want the CCNA but I decided to study the Network + material just to get the knowledge, then go into the CCNA. What you think? And any tips on where I can study the CCNA at?

I have a question sir and I hope you notice this. Did you just self studied ccna by yourself with that book? Or you did enrolled in an academic institution before taking the cisco exam? Because I heard that there is a lab in this course and you have to take it on actual. I’m actually planning on getting ccna certification but my problem is the money for enrollment and stuff😢

Currently doing Network+ right now, should I get CCNA right afterwards since some of the material is similar?
