Giving myself 3 months, 8 hours a day study session.

As a person who interviews potential entry level network admin and network tech candidates CCNA all the way. If you need use the Network + to get a leg up on concepts but just get the CCNA.

I panicked because you said they were getting ready to release a new test version for CCNA and I just order the books to start studying, then I saw this video was from 2019, so I'm good lol. You're not kidding, Net+ was no joke, but I'm glad I did it and after seeing your video, glad I did it before CCNA.

I'm in college majoring in "Computer Information Systems" and I was so confused on where to start. I don't want to waste time with the CompTIA A+ and I don't want to delve too deep into Networking because I'm kinda new to IT. I feel like with this video, I know where to go. Network+ it is... followed by the new CCNA right after. Thanks a lot man!

Hey man, thanks for the vid. I completed a full stack course earlier this year and loved it, but realized I didn’t really have a passion for web dev. Been looking into other areas of IT but had no idea where to start. This video helps a lot! Thank you.

Got my A+, and will be giving my Network+ in a couple of days. If i pass that, the the next step is CCNA!! Cant wait!

Good topic to address, no simple answer as both are important. In my view CompTIA certs equip students with a broad non vendor specific knowledge base and is good starter.

I started out with OSCP (my first I.T certification) now CCNA. I only go after the big dogs. I just hope recruiters actually notice these big certifications on my resume and stop looking at my pervious work experience

Good video you are pretty much right. I think I will just suck it up and start studying for the CCNA. It shouldn't be too bad because I am A+ certified already. So hopefully I can make it work.

I appreciate your honesty about you barely passing the test. I did well on network + but I struggle on the ccna but I passed. Man that test, at least the one I took was hard. Nothing on routing, not 1 subnet question, , only 1 or 2 ip6 question. My test was more on what is a jumbo frame? What size frame is a runt? It was a lot of small questions you would just Google in the real world

Thank you for the advice! It's massive. I currently have 15 months experience in HelpDesk Support with no certifications. I'm trying to get out of it ASAP.

Now it's time for Certifications, starting with the A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA. Mixed in with AWS Solutions Architect Associate.

Then the PenTest+, CySA+, OCSP.

You think i'll be able to land a good paying job with those mixed with the (approaching) two years experience?
I love the CyberSecurity side and the DevOps side. There's so much to learn!
I feel to be a master in this field you need to have stromg knowledge in the evergreen technologies like the cabling, networks, hardware etc.
You've put clarity on my path and once i'm in DevOps position then Penetration testing i will come back to this video to say this lead me in the right direction.

Thank you again!

😊This video been very helpful for me, I'm 25, don't have an IT background and just decided to enter into IT, I want to go in system admin by getting Linux certification, but my elder brother told me that I should have prior knowledge of window administration and Networking, I'm learning windows 10 administration these days, but I was confused for which network certification should I go for, But after watching dozens of videos comparing different certs and considering I don't have any knowledge or experience of IT, now decided I'm gonna get my N+ certification first then go For RHCSA.

Do I really need CCNA to get into Cyber Security or just the Network+ is enough to cover the networking fundamentals ?
