For networking, the Net+ is better and covers more about networking. That knowledge can go further. The CCNA is about knowing Cisco, a persons network knowledge doesn’t have to be that strong for the CCNA, but they must know Cisco.

Having interviewed many now, I’ve noticed that aspiring network engineers with their Net+ often can solve problems and give the right answer and design a solution, but if asked to implement the solution they would need a lot of help.

Whereas the CCNA only people often wouldn’t know what the solution would be. But if I tell them exactly what to do, they can often do it on Cisco gear with almost no hand holding.

I have both the net+ and CCNA, if you’re specializing in networking, get the CCNA.
Any other specialization, the network+ will be just fine.

Here is something I wrote on someone else's youtube, that's relevant here:
The answer is more nuanced. I have 14 years of desktop support experience and 10 more as an IT hobbyist. Some folks believed I could skip A+ and go straight to Network+. I'm glad I didn't. I discovered a lot of gaps in my knowledge, especially in networking, that A+ filled. This made my entry into Network+ alot easier.

I could see a similar situation where someone's got 4+ years of network support technician experience and discovers that Network+ fills in some important gaps. You make a strong case for such a person skipping Network+. I could've made a strong case for skipping A+, but I'm so glad I didn't.

And for the record, I have no Network Support experience beyond assisting end users with connecting to the ethernet/wifi and escalating tickets to the Network Team when needed.

I passed Net + two weeks ago and I started studying for CCNA. I recommend getting them both. First get the Net+ for a strong foundation going into the CCNA.

Im a student and want to take the path of networking world and I am currently taking CCST networking instead of Network+ because its cheaper, has some part of CCNA and doesnt expire then planning to take CCNA after.

How much they are in common? I mean like if I study for CompTIA, how much will it help for my CCNA examprep? or I have to spend another 5-6 months for CCNA prep after the CompTIA learning?
