I'm in my fifties and am trying this field to reinvent myself and to move on from my current dead end job. Thanks for the encouragement.

43 here....working on a career change into networking. I've got the drive! With the help of 3 to 4 cups of coffee a day of course!

Hey Chuck, you just gave me a fresh new way to look at age in this industry. I ill be 58 in 2018, I got into I.T. in the early 1980's, worked for Novell teaching Netware then spent a few years at IBM. I love this stuff. Just now really taking a deep dive into the networking side of things. Great vid.

Thank you young man. 52 here and yes I have tons of life experience and plenty of those lovely transferable skills that hopefully will get me into the IT sector, which has always been my passion. 👍👍

Thank you for this video! I keep knocking myself down due to the fact of age, not having a degree that relates to the computer field, and a constant change in technology. You added drive to conquer. Thank you. I have no background in IT but have an understanding to computers and have worked in the electronic technician industry. It takes one video like this to change a person's spirits and create motivation. Thank you.

I'm 29, no job experience, except from my internship in system networking, graduated 3 months ago, I'm scared as hell! Feeling ancient for a job in IT. Your videos calmed me down a little bit.

I'm 40 and about to start my IT career. I recently got my bachelor's in Technology Management and will be taking my 220-902 next week to become A+ certified. I plan on diving into the CCNA next. I don't know where it will lead but it took me a while to find out what my true passion is. When you find something that you enjoy and are obsessed with even when you are off work, you know you figured it out.

I’m 53 and worked in IT for many years as a data dev. Never excited me quite frankly. Switched to networking last year when I got the chance. Got my Network+ & Security+ recently and hope to become WCNA certified later this year. It’s never too late to make the change!

Thanks for the reassuring advice, very comforting. I'm now just finishing college and starting in IT (I'm 26). I felt I was probably a bit old to start, but wanted an IT career anyway; however, this just gave me even more motivation to keep on studying to get that Cisco CCNA.

35 years old here, finished engineering in manufacturing, didn't like it at all, and start with CompTiaNet+ as a beginner to jump to CCNA once I get involved with the basics, thank you for these videos Chuck, just subscribed!

I'm a 33 year old attorney in a serious crisis right now (when you're in the business of conflict, it wears on you pretty hard). I was 90% sure i wanted try get into networking and this video might have just helped me solidify that decision. Particularly the bit about having soft skills, which i have perfected as a trial lawyer. I recently found your channel and love it. thank you and sorry for commenting on an old video.

At 42, this makes me feel better, knowing all the candles burned during the night towards studying for the CCNA isn't going to waste.

I believe you went to Paris France. I'm 55 and looking to get into IT as well. I've been watching your videos for a while. A friend of mine had showed me your YouTube videos. We talk a lot he's actually in school right now and I'm looking to head that direction as well next year if not sooner. Thank you so much for all that you have been teaching me
