The background music sends such a strong reference to "padme's ruminations" so while this is happening Anakin and Padme are staring at one another from a distance, deciding the fate of an entire galaxy!! X.X

The music. The look on Mauls face. The ominous atmosphere. Knowing that Order 66 was about to happen. This scene / episode was pure gold.

An otherwise casual, positive scene, yet even the chilling, uneasy soundtrack shows that the relative "innocence" of the first seasons (where it would be kept in triumphant, positive mood) is gone- and we know it's the last moments before the tragedy.

I like how it’s supposed to be a touching goodbye between Ahsoka and Lady Bo-Katan, but the music helps us realize that we know what’s about to happen.

When bo says “goodbye, Ashoka tano, ” what she probably meant was “I’ll see you in another tv show on Disney + Ashoka tano”

One thing I loved about this series as a whole but exemplified by this scene is the subtlety of it. With just a few lines like, "This is the last one, " and, "Goodbye, Ahsoka Tano, " you get the impression that, at least for these characters, they see a better future on the horizon. The traditional hostilities between the Mandalorians and the Jedi and maybe by extension, the Republic, are over and a new era of peace can begin. Using the last of those Hanibal Lecter cages to transport Maul shows how Bo-Katan sees a brighter future for what are now her people. Ahsoka and Rex leave Mandalore under the best of circumstances given the situation and yet we as the audience still feel that overwhelming sense of dread at what's to come. This is how you do a prequel right, by using the audience's knowledge of future events against them.

It's a shame that we didn't get an arc with Ahsoka and Bo-Katan getting to know each other. In the little we see of them, it's clear they have developed a healthy respect for each other.

Never thought I’d see Clones and Mandalorians standing attention with each other. Both of them are skilled warriors, in their own way.
