Apparently Asohka forgot Rex's first lesson. Experience outranks everything. The clones know it was not an easy choice for her, a path she to follow on her own.

It's subtle, but as soon as the door opens, you can see Rex smiling for a few seconds when he sees Ahsoka, only to go back into "captain" mode seconds later. Shows he was really expecting that reunion as well, even though he maintains his professionnalism!
