The Belgian Malinois is magnificent creature but is very high maintenance. I thought about getting one but I don't think I could handle one. They don't take weekends off or Holidays it's a 24/7/365 day job. So I enjoy watching your dogs instead of getting one. Thanks for the entertainment!

I love what you just said about Malinois.
I have 3.
All rescues.
All badly BROKEN!!
We spend alot of time everyday.
Normal start time is 5:30am.
Normal stop time 6 to 7pm.
We work all 3 at one time.
Then we work 1 at a time.
As I am writing this comment, my oldest Malinois who is 8 years old, and is always mistaken as the puppy is one her toys on my lap. Wanting to play!!
Lots of WORK. But more love!!

Your right about being firm with them because if they see weakness they will take over, but being firm does not mean harsh of course, they need a leader

She came to us very broken. We were only going to keep her until could find a forever home for her. Turned out, that was with us. I don't recommend this breed. But, if you are able to give what is needed, she is amazing and so full of love. She is learning how to live in a house, as well as sit/stay and other basic commands. Don't think she ever had been in house before. And manners, especially with food. Not only have we been helping her, she has helped us and our small dogs (one is 16, and was slowing down, she is much more present now). I just wish she had been the 40lb version instead of the 70lb version once we got her up to a healthy weight. Vet wants a second opinion before we can get back to our exercise routine, it has been a month of not being allowed to run or go for walks in the canyon. I love every ounce of her! And hubby feels better knowing she is here when he is on the road 5 days a week, (he also works with her when he is home). She can be very intimidating to others. To me, she is a big goofball!

I got my second Mal 15 months ago and she was the best decision of my life!! She's been a lot of work but the bond I've formed with her is unbreakable. I have a dog that would do anything for me and vice versa.

Thank you for your videos I’m a new subscriber and I love your videos. I hope this will help people to understand what they’re getting themselves into. I do agree once again with you don’t need to run 3 miles a day. I’ve never ran two blocks I walk two blocks, but it has to do with mental stimulation again thank you.

Don't abuse, I am from Belgium, know very well these dogs and I have good family dogs, just need to work a little bit, not necessary to do 5 am 7 pm...

Damn, I'm over here thinking I'm getting myself into a lion and shit.. Jesus Christ people over react. I handle more then this on a daily basis with a boxer energy and she's very well trained due to a firm hand. Thank you for this.

My new little one(Lulu) turns 17wks tomorrow, I've had her since 10 1/2 weeks...
It's been a LONG time since I've had a young dog in the house, and only then she was 6mos old when I got her(Allie, since passed, May 2020, aged 15)...I do have another dog(Toby, American Bandogge Mastiff) in the house, a once in a lifetime dog, he'll be 8yrs in April, and I'm spoiled by him and his solid temperament...
Lulu has been a challenge thus far, and she's slowly catching on to the goings on, and I keep telling myself "It's going to get better"...Biggest challenge has been potty training, breeder did nothing to help prepare her, so I've been on my own...

By watching your videos, people can get the correct idea about having or not having a Malinois. Thank you. They really are not for anyone 😍

Love these dogs! I have a Mal and a Beagle, my sister has two Labs and a Mal, and my parents have three Mals.
They are not for the uninitiated.

same can be said with many breeds, however mals are indeed in need of lots of attention. they made john wick 3 worth watching. and of course, the rewards are unable to be articulated. same with german shepherds; and many other breeds. the summation, dog is mankind's best friend. no doubt.
