I knew a Belgian malnois that would start every morning by reading five newspapers and squeezing his own orange juice. RIP Ace, you were one of a kind

The best description that I've ever given was that a Belgian Malinois is like the John Wick of dogs

I love Joe's dog faces. Every breed has its own face! lol

They're also absurdly smart. It's scary.

I owned one. He was a daily reminder that I had not spent enough time at the gym. He woke up at 7 am every day and would not let me sleep in. From there on if I wasn't doing something; working, chores, exercising him or myself, he would whine and poke his nose at me. I lost 8 pounds in the first 3 weeks I owned him. Definitely not for an inexperienced dog owner.

I think the description of malinois as "little meat missiles" is the best ive ever heard

Athlete wolf is the best description of a Belgian Mailnois I’ve ever heard and I’ve worked with dogs for 15 years 😂

Had the pleasure of supervissing 18 MWDs and their handlers during Desert Storm. Fourteen were Malligators. Amazing dogs, all different personalities. Patrolled with them every night. What an honor and privilege.

My sister rescued a “silver back shepherd” and I took one look at her and said, “ umm, you know this is a Belgian Malinois, right”? She was such an amazing good girl for my sister and her husband, and when my brother in law was killed by the treatment they gave him for Covid, her wonderful dog was the very best girl in the world for her. Sadly, she was diagnosed with cancer and she crossed the Rainbow Bridge a few months ago and has joined her dad, but she came into my sister’s life for a reason. Penelope Nanna. High Protector.

I always tell folks, a German Shepherd will chase someone off your property & the MAL will jump the fence & continue chasing the person😂

I'm 61 year old and there hasn't been a day in my life that I have not had at least one dog - usually 2 or 3. I've had quite a few types - Boxers, German Shepherds, Full size Coon Hounds, Shar Pei, Maltese, Pomeranian, and plenty of mixes. I currently have a 1 year old Malinois with 2 others. I have to say the the Malinois is the smartest dog I've ever had. At the same time she is one of the most lovable. She's perfectly content laying next to me on the couch or laying next to my desk chair when I'm there for hours at a time.

If you buy a Belgian Malinois make sure you have enough time to keep him busy .
hermansohier
I plan to buy one of these when I retire so that I can have another full-time job that actually loves me and will keep me young.

They are the most loyal friend you can have. Absolutely amazing dogs. I will never have another breed. Proud owner of one of the daughters of a European champion Belgian Malinois.

I have a Belgian malinois. As a pup he's the smartest dog I've ever been around. I feel privileged to have him with me. He may be smarter then some people I've known

The biggest problem with them for the average person is you will need to give up your social life, need to exercise them for 1-2 hours twice a day and even then they demand your attention around the house
