go check cronometer. potatoes, raw, with skin, 12% protein, less calories than a banana per 100 grams. I was just making a point. People keep saying, if you crave potatoes, the only possible reason is that you aren't getting enough carbs from fruit. There is a lot more to food than just carbs. Some people feel better with a little more amino acids than just fruit can provide.

Potatoes are 12% protein. Dates are 2%? bananas 4%? It might not be the calories they are craving, but more amino acids. Potatoes are not a more dense form of calories than dates or bananas per pound.

Its about digestibility and fibre - I find fat does suppress appetite quite well, but fibre does an equal job. So the point is don't blend, just eat the food whole and unprocessed. If you can't eat enough calories that way, either graze throughout the day or supplement with blended fruit or dates, raisins etc.

Amino acids come from the greens. The amount of greens you are eating on 811 provide all the amino acids you can use.

It's definitely not the calories, I was starving 24/7 on a high fruit raw diet and was taking in thousands of calories and gaining weight consistently each week, not a good thing, but still starving. I personally found that a high veggie, low fruit raw foods diet works for me. My weight stays where it should be and I only feel hungry if I don't eat unlike the high fruit raw diet where I felt starved no matter how much I scarfed down.

This was one factor why I struggled to stay 811...15 banana smoothie with cinnamon (made with water) for breakfast...45 mins later..REALLY hungry! 2 free range (from my mother-in-laws free roaming chickens) boiled eggs on one piece of whole meal toast..not even peckish for 5-6 hours...certainly not about the calories in my experience

I can relate since i crave tacos almost all the time since ive gone vegan/raw in the beginning of this year. I think it would have been better to have been born into this lifestyle rather then switching to it later like most people have done, it would probably be easier if nothing else. Stay strong! :]

Our needs for protein are easily met through fruits and vegetables. Generally averaging out around 4-6% of total calories. Adding a couple nuts and seeds certainly bumps ups the protein as well.

I drank 2 - 2, 5 l of purefied water per day, which is more than I usually drink in a day.

I used to be hungry all the time the first 2-3 months going vegan/raw 80/10/10, now i have a hard time eating more than 4000calories that was very easy in the beginning so i guess my body tells me that i dont need any more :]

Yea, I think the issue is not the calories. Your body will stop looking for food after it has received enough nutrients.

I find that eating all fruit causes an excessive and uncomfortable amount of pooping. But mixing it up with some potatoes and rice seems to not overwork the digestive system so bad.

Ahhh tacos!!! I was craving those yesterday haha. I totally agree though, my little nephew didn't want anything other than fruit when he was a little lad, his parts made him eat his meat because its "healthy". Now he wants meat at every meal more than anything else. Sad world. But you stay strong as well!

I ate waaaay more calories than I normally would when I tried hcrv for a month. I never got full despite eating so many calories. It can't be just that.

I have been eating a butt load of fruit and I think I will always crave cheese burgers. I haven't had one in...2 years :(

But how am I starving again 1-2 hours after eating an 1100 calorie lunch? My breakfast was also 1100. I almost went for potatoes or pasta for lunch because I was so hungry again right after breakfast. :/ I don't like being hungry.

Don't have mono meals or eat all your fruit at once...it's simple. Instead of having 1100 calories in 30 minutes, spread eat. that way you're constantly eating and not feeling hungry..
