I just watched this evening twice over, as I am fitting a similar vise.
Very impressed with the plywood fingers jig, I will be making one!😊

Love your anti-racking system! We all have our vices, don't we?! Thanks Vic! Please stay safe.

I have just installed (yesterday) the same vice. If I had seen your video, my install would have had less swearing involved. My big mistake, as I had no instructions, was to use the front plate instead of the main body, to set out the holes. Had to do a bit of filing to get proper clearance on the guides and main screw. Mine had to go on the front of my bench. Thank you for a nice clear description of how you did it.

I’ve just found your video as I have my own vice to fit. Excellent easy to follow guidance and your anti racking tool is brilliant. Many thanks👍🏻

Hey Vic
You would never guess what Santa dropped off last night :). Only difference is now H&F are selling it for $90 instead of the $80 in your video. Thanks for the install video, very helpful for today's job.
Cheers

So many simple helpful tips (anti-racking system). As I remember you saying in a previous video, there is no such thing as scrap wood!!!

A few smiles during this video Victor. I got the cheaper option vice. without quick release and it has the same problem with the mounting holes !!! The bench I made was for sale and 80mm thick, so I used Coach screws, so fortunately no extra hole visible :). I also have the anti rack 'Block'. It works well. I have used 6mm legs. Thanks Victor, keep well. Cheesy saying. Think Positive, test Negative.
At least we have our workshops to keep us occupied and out of site of the missus, whose job it is to find us extra things to do LOL

Along with the others, brilliant anti-racking device.
On another note, to you and your family, stay safe and healthy.

It's funny how projects unintentionally come in cycles. A little while ago it was mitre stations, now this is the third vice install I've seen this week! Oddly, I need to build both of those in the near future :D

Very helpful, bought a used heavily rusted vise which I cleaned up last week. Now I know how to install it.
