This was the very best video I found on YouTube and the entire internet for the job that had been plaguing me for hours. I needed an easy installation video for a beginner, and this one was the most helpful for my needs. Bravo! I was able to fully install a faucet and connect it to the sink drain for the first time, but only because of the careful and patience guidance. Thank you for being so helpful!!

Great video. I don't know anything about plumbing . This not only showed me what to do but that it probably isn't going to be as difficult as I thought. Famous last word for a DIY' er lol.

Very nice. But what about old 50 yr old pipe from the wall?? Mine leaks- plastic to metal.

The pitch of the pipes is way off. Water flows down not up. The black pipe needs to be pitched higher which means cutting more off the downward pipe from the sink.

Clean up the cut or hair will easily get caught and you will have to clean it out frequently.

Exactly what I am looking for. My p trap doesn't line up with drain with new floating vanity. This would solves it. The flexible P-trap is not up to code, but this method is. Thanks.

Other common mistake is 1-1/4 inch pipe is for bathroom
1-1/2 is for kitchen people get the 1/2 often an mix them up an wonder why they don’t fit

Good work on that nut and straight pipe!

You are not supposed to use pliers or wrenches. Hand tighten. I’d you use pliers or a wrench you should only do 1/4 turn after you have hand tightened.

So the fittings with a bevelled mating end do not need washers under the nut/collar ... perfect, that was my question!
TY!!!

Where did you get the pipe piece that you connected to the pipe that came with the faucet/sink? My P trap kit didn't have that 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 piece with it.
