If I could only have one modern deck for the rest of my life I would choose The Primal Lenormand and have it in Bridge Size :)

I bought my first deck 30 years ago, it was the Piatnik. But I didn't use it and give it away. My second is Alexandre Musruck Lenormand oracle, I bought it last month with his book. Very vintage look. And my third one is homemade, I drew on little pieces of paper with color pencils, and glued them on playing cards. I am proud of it. 🥰Cuter than I expected.

My first deck was Alexandre Musruck's lenormand deck. It includes an alternate man and lady card so you can swap them out if you want to try to read directionality or not and there is a boy and a girl child card so you can swap them out to your preference. It is also a wonderful pocket size.

@The Card Geek, what a great video.

Thank you for these great tips. I currently have three Lenormand Decks: "Old Style Lenormand Fortune Telling Cards, " by Alexander Ray; "Gilded Reverie Lenormand, " by Ciro Marchetti; and the "Fairy Tale Lenormand, " written by Arwen Lynch, illustrated by Lisa Hunt.

I also read one book on Lenormand, and currently reading another. It feels wonderful to learn more about Lenormand and very excited to feel like a student again.

I have watched a few of your videos and all have been very helpful. Thank you so much.

Great tips!
The first deck I bought was the Under the Roses Lenormand, and it was because of the ethnicity options for the Man, Woman, and Child cards, which I thought was such a cool idea.
Before you mentioned it at the end of the clip, I was thinking, "If I had to choose just one deck in my collection, which would it be?" For me, it would be Le Fanu's Lilac Dondorf. It ticks all the boxes, especially with having additional Man and Woman cards that (now) allow them to face each other (earlier Dondorfs had them each facing to the right).

My first deck was the EASY. I still cherish it the most. However, now that I know who Carrie Paris is, I'm in a whole new game! Thanks for such a great channel!

I bought Fairy Tale Lenormand thinking it was an oracle. I tossed it aside for awhile until I discovered Kipper with the Fin De Siecle Kipper deck. Now that I'm researching these different types of decks, having been familiar mainly with tarot and a handful of oracles, I'm coming back to Lenormand now that I've discovered Kipper. While I do like the Fairy Tale Lenormand, it doesn't draw me in like Under the Roses Lenormand does. But since I've yet to purchase Under the Roses, I think I need to do more research on the different Lenormand decks out there before settling on Under the Roses; and now I can keep these 5 tips in mind. Eventually I know I'll get Under the Roses, but maybe it won't be the one I start with. Once I learn Lenormand, then I can come back to Fairy Tale, but it's just not calling out to me like I want it to when I'm just beginning. Fin De Siecle Kipper is so amazing, I'm loving the cards to practice learning Kipper, but I need a Lenormand deck that does the same for me.

My first was the Golden Thread Lenormand, probably not a common “First Lenormand” deck. Favorite is Mondnacht with no pips whatsoever, which I love.
But contradicting that is that I sometime like to use a stripped-down regular playing card deck (Stargazer by Bicycle) and simply remember the Lenormand symbols, just to keep myself on my toes.

My favorite Lenormand deck is the Titania's Fortune Cards. I'd misplaced them in a move and was thrilled when I found them again!

I’ve bought a bunch of decks and haven’t done much actual reading, lol! My current go-to is the Grand Tableau Lenormand.

I like the Blue Owl deck. Clear images, an old fashioned feel, and the man and woman can face each other. I also like a closed book (so that the secrets are hidden).

When I started learning Lenormand I bought a few decks at once because I wasn't sure which one would suit me best. I then found that the ASS Lenormand Wahrsagekarten by AGM are easy to spot and I like the artwork, it is simple and very clear. Also, the deck has a useful size.

The first Lenormand deck I got (after a long time with Tarot, but for self-study not fortune telling), though I didn't find out about Lenormand cards as such until much later (recently), was Titania's Fortune Cards, and I still prefer some of her card meanings, particularly the Tower and the Cross. Very simple, undecorated cards, but her Man and Woman face straight out (front-ward). More recently, finding out about (Petit) Lenormands, I bought Ciro Marchetti's Gilded Reverie Lenormands, partly thanks to Donnaleigh covering them. Then very recently, I discovered Ciro's Fin de Siecle Kipper cards while looking for older style Lenormands with 'the soldier', 'the official', etc, and discovered also your videos. So right now, I await in the next couple of days or so, your Kipper book and a pack of Zigeunerkarten, from UK. From your video above, I think Kipper's detail and backstory insight would be my preference, and I hope that at least some of that Wortschatz will translate also back to the Lenormands.. (Ciro suggests combining both his decks, but, toooo many people!)
Reading The Game of Hope, I see that Tree was originally Forest (so, somewhat of both Growth (as Titania puts it) and (natural) Health as Enchanted Caitlin Matthews and others put it). Can Game of Hope be played as a fortune-telling process, or is/was it just a game ? I was wondering, played it once, but that 36th card sent me back so many times, generated way too many cards (as landed on)...lol
Lastly, found in Google Play apps, a version of Mlle. Lenormand's Grand Jeu, and with the references to Mythology and Alchemical Lamps, had to get my own copy, which I did. Larger cards, more towards Crowley's Thoth deck in size (though THAT's been /a while!/), with much on them, overwhelming for a Lenormand near-beginner, but quite fascinating nonetheless (especially those Lamps!), I'll come back to them. They're said to have been in continuous publication since the late? 1800's ! Have you covered them anywhere ? (more questions if you have)..
Cheers! and many thanks! from Australia !
[EDIT: Mlle. Lenormand, not Mme. Lenormand, corrected]
