Intentionally baiting Vader with his pauses and statements, puposely withdrawling his saber twice. Putting himself in a very open space for a saber throw, which he evades easily. Vader learns of Leia which makes it worse on Vader. We can see conflict Vader had AFTER their duel in Cloud City. So now doubling this said conflict. After disarming Vader. Luke takes force lightening from Emporer... Calling for Vader.... knowing it will draw Vader from the Dark Side.... Luke had a plan during his surrender, and this was it 100%.
