I wish that Novation would release video tutorials and not just capabilities videos. These videos are amazing and so informative, but everything that is being done comes with a whole host of prior knowledge that seems SO difficult to find, even with the guide provided.

Standard midi adapter sold separately? That's a little tight.
And probably frustrating for anyone that picks one up expecting to plug and play to 90% of midi devices.

I'm finding it pretty tricky to find a type A breakout adapter, very frustrating! I bought a type b one by mistake (didn't read full eBay ad my fault). Now it looks like ill have to wait for one to be sent from CHI NA ffs

Hey, is it possible to use launchkey as midi controller and supply it with power by usb charger or does it have to be connected to a computer in order to work properly?

Where do I get the adapter for midi out? "Sold separately" means sold out everywhere. Should have been included.

Just ordered (with pay on receiving) the Flkey mini, and realized that it does not have an arpeggiator, why a newer product has fewer features ?, and what is used for, the midi out on the Fl key mini ? If I were to buy a midi controller I would like it to use it also, outside of house, and not connected to a laptop, Thanks

What cable is it? That's not a traditional midi cable, is it an audio jack?

Hi! Wanted to know: may I use the breakout cable from korg electribe 2 (type A) at the launchkey to connect it to the electribe? And may I use it the same breakout adapter cable from korg to connect it to the circuit? Thank you in advance :) you always make great products

I’ve been seeing some crazy things that the Launch Control XL can do with an op-z and a BlackBox, and what LaunchKey can do for a BlackBox and a ZOIA....and I had already been eyeing a minimal setup involving an op-z, BlackBox, iPad and Zoia...how well would the LaunchKey and Launch Control XL work as a pair to control various parameters of aforementioned hardware?? What would be required for property syncing everything??

so is this special novation midi cable the only one thats going to get the novation to respond? trying to get this thing connected to my analog synth with old school midi, bought a converter but no dice, just finding out about this silly Novation brand cable, more info would be appreciated.

Hi everyone, i can't connect Launchkey to external synth (follow instructions and select right midi channel by shift+transpose), synth don't receive any signal. Tried with ableton and only with synth, with 5v supply. Any suggestion?
