Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 (25 key MIDI keyboard) - Unboxing and Setup with Ableton Live

I chose the Launchkey Mini MK3 over the very popular and highly-rated Akai MPK Mini for the following reasons:
- It's created by Novation, who are part of the Focusrite brand, meaning tighter compatibility with my existing devices
- It's built specifically with Ableton Live in mind, meaning everything works nicely out the box but theres plenty room for customisation
- It has 16 drum pads, nicely colour lit, just like the Novation Launchpad, lets you fire off samples in session view of Ableton
- It's a British brand!

Thanks for this! Question- my son is 10 and is really into music. He has been watching artists online making music with this and other equipment and he wants to give it a go. I feel like this looks to be very complicated and not kid-friendly. Do you have any advice as to what I could start him on if he wants to make his own simple sounds?

Can you use the Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 standalone without a computer? I know, it need to be usb powered, but I want to use it without Ableton. Does it has sounds in it already?

My computer's cpu motherboard intel dh55pj usb mass storage disable because there is no usb drive for this cpu so the usb cable of Novation launchkey 61 mk3 has to be pulled out every time after turning on the computer, Any solution sir ?

this product is impressive, HOWEVER arp is on and i input new notes they overlap !! I contacted novation and the told me "It's also worth noting that trying to play individual notes with the arp turned on with have unpredictable results.​" so they are telling me that i cant make an arpeggio progression with more than one chord ??

bought MINI-MK3 keyboard and it is not working as expected. I press the SHIFT and only 3 orange and one green pads light up/ This is not what I saw in the tutorial vid. I tried to contact Novation 3 times and they completely ignorred. No response of any kind. Ytied the factory reset, but no luck. I have Focusrite 2i2, does this directly connect with it? I ask coz I see the keyboard comes with USB pin in and out, which is not compatible with 2i2
