Willful Sinning--Can You Be Forgiven?

Inspired by an A W Tozer video I recently watched, I talk a bit about Hebrews 10:26-29 and God's mercy.

This little anecdote came to me while listening to you this morning...."God's grace is getting what we don't deserve and God's mercy is NOT getting what we do deserve". I think most Christians have experienced a time in their lives when we knowingly and willingly choose to walk away from our faith and the things of God...sometimes for only a short time and sometimes for many, many years. The debate about whether or not one can "lose their salvation" will rage on long after today. I'm thankful that God is a God of second chances. He allows us to mess up and then helps us to realize our mistakes. At some point, though, we will be out of second chances as our earthly life will be over. We don't have forever to get right with God. If my life should end during a time when I am willfully apart of God, all I can do is hope for His mercy.

I love Tozer! And thank you so much for speaking about this verse❤️ It is a wonderful reminder of the mercy and grace of our Father❤️ I always think of David, he was an adulterer, a murderer, and a pretty dysfunctional father, yet, God called him ‘a man after my own heart’. God knows our hearts better than we do. Satan reminds us how deserving of condemnation we are, and tries to heap guilt on our heads. God reminds us of His great love for His children, and that Christ Jesus died to free us from the wages of our sin, and reconcile us to the Father. 🙌🙌🙌 In Christ alone, our Hope is found! Happy Sunday❣️🙏✝️

No matter how long I serve the LORD .. this is my number 1 battle, I often think how many times will I receive mercy for the very thing I can’t seem to get victory over . May the answer and mercy, you have shared with all, come to you and yours, as you have once more showed me His mercies are new each morning, I am humbled to knees with hope and thankfulness. ‼️🙏🏻🎁
