Thank you. Really thought I had gotten past the P-Word additiction. I relapsed and man the shame came back. I don't understand how a Holy God could forgive me. I was doing really well too. I feel like I've sinned one too many times, but I know I have to accept 1 John 1:9, and move on with God, but it's tough. Hang in there everyone who's struggling. You may fall, but if you get up and keep going God will save you.

Peter asks Jesus how many times he should forgive his brother if he sins against him. Peter thinks forgiving seven times is generous.

Jesus responds
Jesus tells Peter to forgive seventy-seven times, which is symbolic of forgiving without limit.

if Jesus asks us sinners to forgive without limit, imagine how much love and mercy our god who is without sin has for us 🙏

One of my favorite books and verse in the Bible. I was listening to Romans driving to work one night and i heard this verse and cried bc it literally spoke to my soul and opened my eyes. It was the first time i felt like someone could relate to how i felt; and it was written by one of the greatest apostles/preacher ever thousands of years ago! Yet it resonated in me and felt like it was written just for me!

Have you read and the "Good News" of Salvation?

If you want to go to heaven, simply *Believe how that Jesus died for our sins on the cross, he was buried, and rose again three days later according to scripture:*

2 Corinthians chapter 5 verses 18, 19
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 kj
Ephesians 2:8, 9

Salvation isnt about getting your sins forgiven, its BELIEVING they already are.

God bless you

Those that read and believe the gospel that the risen, glorified Jesus gave our apostle Paul are not "born again".

The believer is made a "new creature" that is placed "in Christ" the very moment they read/hear and believe how that:

Jesus died for our sins according to scripture, he was buried, and rose again the third day according to scripture.

2 Corinthians chapter 5, verses 18, 19.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 king james version.

The term "born again" refers EXCLUSIVELY to and for the single, Jewish commonwealth nation of ISRAEL.

They (ISRAEL) according to thier apostle Peter, said they will be "born again" as a nation of JEWISH kings and preists who will finally inherit thier earthly "kingdom to come" as it is in heaven after having "indured to the end" of Jacobs trouble.

You're mixing law and grace. God said dont do that, lest ye place yourself under the curse of the law.

Hope this helps. Grace and peace to you.

Paul was not a sinner after he was born again. He was describing the struggles that he had before he met Jesus.
You are saying that Christians who continue in sin are forgiven but this contradicts the teachings of Paul who warned that deliberate sin leads to eternal damnation, which is proof that Paul was no longer a sinner.
Hebrews 10:26-31
"For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay.” And again, “The Lord will judge his people.” ...
Sinning Christians have not been born again. If they were we would see evidence of their conversion.

Struggle with sin don't exist in the Bible. But love of sin . Someone who struggles with sin is because he loves it

incorrect
your religion is not the arbiter of morals
history informs us of that clearly
the words matter because they provide value when followed. don't need a bible to tell one that.
