Habitual Willful Sin & Still A Christian ~ Paul Washer

I struggle so hard with lust. I’m absolutely making progress, but I just hate it. Am I different? Yes. I once believed hell was symbolic and that everyone would go to heaven, but that was because I didn’t want to be disturbed in my sin. I’m able to go stretches of a few weeks or a month or so clean of lust, but there always seems to be relapse. My desires certainly have changed. This video was very helpful. I wish I could simply shed my sinful flesh with the snap of my fingers, but that’s not how it works.

I am so stuck in the sin of pornography. I know 100 percent that it's not right, but I still do it and then feel bad later on and still do it again and again. I hear people say what he said that as soon as he became a Christian it all stopped and in a way I get a bit angry because like, why not me too. I cry because of it.

Willful sin regardless if it means the turning away from the Gospel or continuing to sin without conviction, it’s the same thing.

For me, I struggle with sexual sin. I think about how much God loves me and I dont wanna do it but the next hour, there I go and I hate myself. It's wrong, it damages and it brings nothing but misery and all I can do is hope that Christ still loves me

Please pray for me people. I am 19 years old and I have been a "Christian" since I was born, but in the past year I feel like I have really given my life to Jesus Christ. I am noticing a lot of changes in the way I go about my day, and I hate my sin. I have struggled with pornography and lust since I was about 13 and I am battling everyday. I used to watch nearly everyday without feeling any guilt, but now I feel such deep sorrow whenever I watch. I do not want to watch it anymore, and I am down to losing the battle about once a week. I feel confidence in the fact that I am hating the sin, but the temptation is so powerful and is so deeply engrained in the culture. I need to keep getting closer to God and keep praying, and I could certainly use the prayers of others!

Laziness and idleness is one sin I'm struggling with now. I also did sexual immorality with my husband and I am in my heart dying over it. I feel HORRIBLE GUILT for my sexual sin especially since I've been so good about for almost a year. But I don't feel that same level of guilt for my laziness and idleness. I have man sins I'm learning about that I do. And didn't know was a sin. I avoid the "specific won't inherit feel kingdom of heaven" like the plague. And some sins left me immediately once I became a Christian. Honestly Christianity will always be a constant struggle.

I have so much love for brother Paul, God used him to save me from falling into cultural "Christianity" idk where id be without reformed theology and the blessed elders we have. Pastor John MacArthur has been such a light for me as-well. I hope this finds you all well!

We are not alone brethren. This is most important thing. We believe when we watch things or do things. That we are all alone no one sees us. But Christ lives inside of us. He sees what we see and feels what we feel. Why not talk about it with him instead of shutting him out.

I feel like I have a severe view of Repentance. I'm not sure I really hate my sin! I'm not sure my Repentance is sincere! What then would be the solution?

Thats why we must pray for one another don't waste that opportunity. Satan devotes all his life deceiving us . So how can you win with just a little glance at the Bible or worse not doing it

Repent and forsake your sins. TRUST in JESUS Christ and his sacrifice on the cross. There is coming a day when the LORD will judge the world in righteousness. Hell awaits all sinners INCLUDING lukewarm christians. JESUS says go and sin no more so if you loved HIM you would OBEY HIM.

Whatever you serve is your master (Romans 6). God is not mocked whatever a man sows that will he also reap. If he sows to the flesh he will reap eternal corruption, but if he sows to the Spirit he will reap eternal life (Galatians 6). He who sins is of the devil. He who is of God cannot sin because His seed remains in him (1 John 3). If you abide in Christ you will bear much fruit. If a branch doesn't bear fruit it will be cut off and burned in the fire (John 15).

You have to give up entertainment and the world. If you keep on deliberately keep on sinning you are not born again or your faith already died, The Scripture said The Lord said if you want to be My disciple, you must deny yourself, take up your cross daily and follow Me. He also said I came as a Light so no one who believes in Me should stay in darkness.
