The word they forbid him to say in this video is "Macbook"

As a dedicated MacBook Pro user, still I grew up using Windows XP, Vista, and 8. So I'll always have a warm spot in my heart for the Windows platform and I still like to see the latest offerings ever once in a while. This looks like a solid laptop for heavy usage. I can even see someone being able to do some gaming on it too

I did too, a couple of months ago. I switched from MacOs to Windows 11.

Apple Ecosystem is brilliant, but I was feeling a bit claustrophobic. The ipad, iPhone, macbooks were becoming too pricey for me, and the specs were getting very poor. I think Nvidia RTX was the one that gave the final push.

I'll be honest, I loved my HP Probook - build was superb and it was a nice laptop.
After switching to M2 Macbook air, every windows laptop now seems... not really up to the standard.
It's like you can't have the whole package with any other laptop at the moment - the power, the battery life, the build quality, screen, touchpad - everything in one small and thin package.

Good to see you trying out Windows again. I had too much hassle and issues with Windows 10 lately therefore I have gone full Linux Mint for development. Only docker desktop makes me headaches.

this video was totally unexpected, watching this on my Asus vivobook s15 OLED and never felt so good about my decision to go for this instead of macbook air m1.

My personal laptop is a 2020 13" MacBook Pro (the last Intel one), I have a gaming PC with a Ryzen 5800x and 3070Ti (Windows 11), and my work laptop is a mid-range 15" VivoBook (Windows 11) with some kind of a Ryzen cpu in it and a 1080p OLED display. The VivoBook honestly impressed me, given it isn't really a high-end laptop at all. I work mainly in .NET on back-end, but do a little bit of front-end work in React here and there. Battery life is pretty good considering how demanding my local environment can be and how much needs to be running, though it throttles the clock speed pretty hard when unplugged (only Apple Silicon really seems to avoid this, in fairness). My only real complaints are the screen resolution (1080p doesn't leave you with much screen real estate), and the trackpad is nowhere close to as good as the one on my MacBook Pro. Otherwise, it's super solid.

Windows in 2023 is not the same Windows in 2008 that pushed me to get a MacBook in the first place. It's stable, performs well, and the interface and general quality of life features are way closer to macOS than ever before. Little things like searching for files in Explorer still bug me (macOS searches take 2-5 seconds, Windows searches take 20 seconds to multiple minutes), or dealing with driver issues as Windows Update and Asus' own MyAsus don't always seem to get along out of the box, but this is still incomparably better of a situation than it was 10 years ago.

Would I switch my personal laptop out for a Windows machine next time around? Honestly, no. I still prefer macOS for anything but gaming. But, I'm not gonna be the guy telling people what works best for their use-case or what they should like.

I'd say Windows 11 is one of the best upgrade that Microsoft has brought to the laptop world. It's way more stable and mostly get all the features that it used to lack in the past compare to macOS

I have a Windows Desktop and a M1 MacBook Air, so I always have access to it with Parsec(Unity's remote desktop/cloud gaming software) regardless of which laptop I am using. 😵‍💫I don't know why I am so enamored by this idea, but it feels like I have both the efficiency/battery life of the MacBook and the power of a windows desktop the only caveat is the wifi stability.

I've been using windows since I was 3. Right now I have 3 laptops at my home. 1 from HP, 1 from Acer and 1 From Lenovo and all of them are doing pretty good. I use the Acer Swift 5 and it is a really nice laptop. The connectivity between windows and my android phone is awesome. But, since I've also got an iPhone(which is my main phone) I'm planning to switch to a MacBook so that I could get more efficient.

Great video bro! Love the whole vibe of your channel.

I switched from a MBP to a Galaxy Book 3 Ultra. I prefer Windows generally. It took a while to get used to this keyboard setup and trackpad placement, but now I am used to it, I absolutely love it. My Mac doesn't get used.

I also have an iPhone 14 Pro Max as well as S23 Ultra. I go between the two, but when I'm using the two Ultras, it's completely seamless - as good as the iPhone / Mac combo.

Tbh most of the people who are "software developer" nowadays don't develop any software. All of their works are done at very high level with java script and ruby etc and most of them don't even deal with any low level stuff for like that and for that any OS would be good enough for most people for web development. Each OSs has certain advantages and for windows it was good enough depending on what kind of development you're doing but after they added WSL2, yeah it was a game changer for me.
