I like the fact that Dave puts the same effort in his advice doesnt matter if someone makes 30k or 100k

When the caller repeated back the details of the mortgage advice ("15 years, fixed rate, no more than a quarter of my income") I realised why he's doing so well: he not only asks for advice but makes sure he understands it with the firm intention of applying it.

Person: "What should I do if I'm already debt-free.".
Me: "Stay that way.".

Having no debt is like beeing healthy, you never really appreciate it when everything is going well. Having no debt and a decent paying job is a dream situation

I am debt free since November 2019. I am on baby step #3 now. I never thought I would be able to be debt free if I didn’t find out about Dave in 2015. Thank you Dave for helping people’s lives with their financial. You are amazing!

My wife and I went debt free when we paid off our house 7 years into the mortgage. Our house was 12% of our gross and we still drive two 2004 Toyotas. I grew up on a farm so it helps that I can fix our cars, replace brakes and appliances. We have $1.1 million in 401k and IRAs and should retire when I'm 60.

I was never that disciplined like this 22 yr old. I got a late start but I'm way ahead of most. Thanks Mr. Ramsey.

There are pros and cons to both renting and buying a house. I have always rented and I have never paid property tax or maintenance and I can move a lot easier. Whatever advantages you find in one or the other they are always offset by the disadvantages. It really all depends on your priorities. The idea that renting is all bad is just another myth that people believe.

If your debt free, take it as a lesion to never ever get into debt again. I myself was in debt from my early 20’s until my late 30’s I thought I’d never get out of debt but the day I did was one of the best days of my life this was when I was 38yrs old I’m now 40 going on 41 soon & Im still debt free 😊😊😊😊😊.

I hate it when people say “ I’d rather live a life than save and have no life” which is complete BS you can save be debt free and still take vacations.

If you are debt free, then you should be commencing Operation Stack the Cash. That way you can best avoid ever having to borrow money ever again or ever in your life.
