I’ve been trying to get out of a few thousand in credit card debt for 6 months or so. I heard Dave tell a caller that pizza companies will hire you TODAY to deliver pizzas. I went and got hired for a pizza delivery job in 48 hours! Between that and my full-time, I budgeted my next 2 months and should be out of debt in 6 weeks living on rice and beans. Debt free community, here I come!

I’m a single mom. I make less than 30k a year. Using Dave’s steps I have kept out of all debt but mortgage debt, have a small emergency fund, and even when my income was cut in half one month due to a work injury, we were fine and I didn’t even have to touch the emergency fund.

The moment that I recall is after coming back from a vacation that we clearly couldn't afford and realizing we didn't have enough for mortgage or groceries. That's when I made a budget and then picked up the second job. Now 8 months later we have paid off 14 grand of our consumer debt. Really happy I found Dave's baby steps.

I wish I would have found Dave in my early 20's. But I found him at 42 and started the baby steps. Happy to say that my husband and I are on baby step 2.

This is one of my favorite videos and I shared it. I live in California, I’m a single dad and work full time only making $14 hourly. I’m struggling to find a place too live that I can afford. I just paid cash for a used Prius so I can get rid of a car I can’t afford. It’s hard looking at rental prices that I can’t afford and had someone laugh at me over the phone when I tried to negotiate a price. So I’m going to find a job on the weekend that I can do but cautious because I want to leave time to not only myself but time with my children. Not an easy life but I see the path in front of me and I give thanks to Dave Ramsey for shining a light for me to follow. It can be done!
