OK interesting but here's the question. If I'm 67 in December (currently still covered by a group medical plan) am I better off getting Plan G at first or getting another plan and switching to Plan G in the future? What is the cost of all premiums PLUS the maximum deductible in the first year? My 85 year old dad that died at 89 was on plan F and it was a screaming deal for him in the last 24 months of his life, but for someone that is in their late 60's early 70's seems like you might pay a lot ahead of the time you ultimately benefit from the plan. Kinda like having HSA health coverage. I also gotta believe they eventually kill Plan G off just like they did with Plan F a couple years ago. You could keep if you had it, but nobody new could signup for it.
