I was with this ladies company; I was very disappointed in her companies help when it came to choosing Medicare Part D Drub plans each year. There was no help from them after you are signed up with them. I switched to another Medicare Insurance Agency and I am so glad I did. I get assistance from that company every year with my Part D.

The downside is not all hospitals and physicians participate in all the ADV plans. So do your homework. I’m staying with traditional Medicare.

Did she mention how much more commissions she gets paid to sell you and advantage plan? It’s outrageous!

I have a very poor brother who has been on disability for many years... he turns age 65 soon, and will need to go on medicare. Im thinking he could get on an advantage plan for the low premium, and may just need to have some medical debt (unable to pay anything beyond premium).

She sounds cheerful and has good make up, what she says must be true

What would you say is the best advantage plan?

She didn’t mention that they’re a scam. They are neither Medicare or an advantage. They get rich by collecting premiums and denying claims.

Why are 50% doing this?
They are in network plans that require authorization for procedures.
Is everyone broke?
These have $7k a year OOP max.

Did you all take SSA at 62 and lock in 30 years of lower payments?

I wish people knew that with original Medicare and a supplement and part d prescription drug plan, your potential out of pocket is much less! And that if you don't sign up for a supplement/part d prescription drug plan when you are first able to do so, you may not be able to get the supplement later, unless you live in one of the few states that allow you to switch from advantage to supplement without medical need to make some changes in this country

Networks don't have to be a deal breaker? What does that even mean? Networks are a BIG problem for advantage plans. Original Medicare has no network. Go to any doctors hospital you want.
