No sound coming from your TV when connected to your Laptop, with HDMI, is the issue that we look at and solve in this video today. We provide an easy fix to rectify the audio not coming from your TV with HDMI. The operating system we were using was Windows 10.

When you connect a TV to your laptop / PC / computer through an HDMI connection, the video connection usually happens straight away. However, it is often a different matter with the audio. In my experience, for some reason, the audio output device remains through your computer more often than not. (No hay sonido en TV desde PC HDMI).

This video assumes that you already have your laptop / PC successfully hooked up to your TV with an HDMI lead and video is showing on both screens.

'The display mode 'extend your display' was used in this video as shown. I find that this this set up helps when you're trying to setup your laptop to get the sound on your TV with an HDMI connection.

🔽 HOW TO FIX THE ISSUE OF NO SOUND ON TV FROM PC HDMI 🔽

✔ 1. In the search bar, generally found on the bottom left on the taskbar, type 'sound settings'. This may differ if your PC is setup differently.

✔ 2. When the menu pops up, select 'sound settings' towards top center of screen.

✔ 3. The sound settings window opens on our Windows 10 laptop.

✔ 4. Towards the top of the screen, find the option - 'choose your output device'.

✔5. Select the output device from the drop down list related to your TV. In our case it was 'Sony TV'. This will enable you to setup your PC to get sound on the TV. Once selected, the sound output should change and should be outputted to your TV.

✔ 6.Remember to set the 'master volume' for your laptop/PC/computer and TV accordingly as shown in the video.

✔ 7. Close the 'sound settings' window.

Your sound should now be outputted through your TV - hopefully you've successfully connected your computer to your TV with HDMI with sound.

Window for me shows the HDMI connection in audio settings only if you troubleshoot. When I select it it says the lead is not connected.
