As an 14 year old Ex-Muslim I believe that Catholics and Orthodox should respect each other✝️☦️

Orthodox cross from forehead, stomach, right to left. Three fingers together and two fingers curled in. Blessed Sunday of All Saints !

As a Mexican Catholic we also make the sign of the cross with the thumb and pointer finger and leave the other three fingers up representing the Holy Spirit while we pray "By the sign of the Holy Cross"(while we cross our forehead)"deliver us, Lord, from our enemies."(while we cross our mouths) "in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit"( while we cross from head to chest then left to right)

I’m Protestant and I do a kinda Orthodox/Catholic mix. I do the fingers differently every now and then, but I always go “head, chest, left, right.”
I love the Sign of the Cross. It keeps the mystery of the Trinity on my mind, and makes my prayers feel complete.

Eastern Catholics do the right to left and the Easterm Catholics do use the 3 finger form of blessing as well

The way I do it is the Catholic way, I do it head, chest, left to right, but I hold my fingers the way the Orthodox do it. Amen. ✝️🙏☦️💪💪💪

The blessed Holy Trinity, whom is forever & ever. Amen. ✝️🙏☦️💪💪💪

I don't know where you get the Stigmata reference from, but it's interesting, I as a Catholic was taught that it came from Tertulian, who said the sign of the cross signifies full devotion - so we invoke the Persons of the Godhead while also thinking about Love: "You shall love the Lord your God "with all your mind (forehead) with all your heart and soul (Chest), and with all your strength.(shoulders).

As both Coptic and Ethiopian Orthodox Christian we go from U, D, L, R but using the same hand gestures as the EO.😊

I’m catholic and for the sign of the cross it depends for me. I sometimes make it with 5 fingers and sometimes with 2 fingers together.

The differences are all minute things, Jesus wants our hearts.

This is wrong. The Orthodox sign of the cross is head to stomach, not chest.

There’s also the Russian Old Rite form. With the joining of some Old Ritualists back to the canonical Church (MP/ROCOR), some people are adopting Old Rite prayers and customs.
