In this DIY video, I'll show you how to make a tapering jig for the table saw. This simple woodworking jig can be used to taper furniture legs, cut wood on an angle or straighten edges. It's a jointer sled and taper jig all in one.

Great video! I am currently making this tapering jig and waiting for the glue to dry on my runner. Thanks for the simple, yet VERY useful project.

Excellent how to video. I too use a small portable table saw, so I was glad to see this jig designed for a small saw.

Perfect video. That's the most efficient design I've seen, and much less than the $100 Rockler jig. Thanks for putting this together!

Nice work! I love that you actually showed a problem during the project. It always seems like people don't want to share that yes, somethings things go bad during the best of builds...

Marie, thank you for sharing such great projects! I've already built your lumber storage cart and a router table based on your design with some modifications from other tables seen elsewhere. You have great concepts with a terrific, instructional style. This is next on my list!

Great work, I believe your idea support making shims and wedges, do you agree?
Thanks,

That's what the screwdriver is for, reducing the torque prevents the screw from being inserted with too much force and breaking the wood. Leaving out that detail, very good video. Greetings
