What if the Americas Never Existed?

What if the Americas (the New World) never existed and instead an ocean took their place? How would this affect world history? What would happen to Europe and the rest of the world? Since the topic is so general, literally anything could happen. So this video will be more discussing how the America's were important in shaping Europe's future imperialism.

Without the Americas, Brazil would never lose 7-1 to Germany.

No Chocolate or Coffee. Truly the darkest timeline.

Love these old videos that basically just say "What would happen? Not this. Apart from that, dunno"

Imagine that in a whole different reality there is a video about 'What if two whole new continents were to the west of Europe?'

The horse and the camel would not exist being that both originate from North American.  That would change a lot.
Great work Cody.

And to all the anti-americans in the comments you do realise by hating on "The Americas" you're also hating on Canadians, Mexicans, Cubans, Brazilians, Columbians, Nicaraguans, Jamaicans etc

Columbus and his crew actually agreed to turn back if they didn’t find land within a few days since they were already within the distance they believed Asia to be based on a smaller estimate of the Earth’s circumference.
So he would not have died before reaching Asia, he would’ve returned to Spain after almost half the way through.

Glad to be an American tbh :)
All these comments saying the world would be a better place without America. (though they're refering to the United States, not the entire Americas)
But I find it funny how people would always try a pick out the negatives about the United States instead of the goods they we bring to the world.
"Oh you're fat"
"All the wars you caused" Now if there's one thing about the US, is that we cannot mind our business. We always intervene with foreign conflict (which is why most countries do not like us) George Washington himself warned us in his farewell address to avoid foreign issues, but we didn't listen.
"America sucks" The US ain't perfect. We're not 100% correct. We have tons of issues to work out. But why do you think some people leave their home countries to come here? To get a somewhat better life than what they had before.. But I will agree, the US sometimes is a little iffy when it comes to immigration and immigrants. Dunno it you ever heard of the Know-Nothing Party back in the 17-1800s I believe.
Regardless!
America (THE USA) Is an amazing place with its ups and downs but glad to be a citizen.
(sorry if my nationalism grosses you out :)

The idea that slavery would not have existed without the Americas is fairly naïve, considering slavery has been documented as existing for well over 5, 000 years, and reaching over 90% of some nations' populations, versus the peek 12.6% in the US.
