Also, the spice trade would've been totally different, with no chili peppers to spice things up in Europe. Imagine the alternate reality where indigenous cultures in the Americas continued to flourish without European influence, and European history took a detour without the New World's resources. In a world without Columbus's voyages, we'd be savoring different flavors and perhaps living in a world where chili fries are just fries!
