Great video Fit Media. This is information young lifters should learn early, when they should be concentrating on compound movements to build that foundation.

Some of the biggest reasons why people don't squat with barbells or the squat rack is because they're shy or have that "gym anxiety". I love this video - it helps builds peoples confidence and I think as a community; this channels does so well to grow it. Keep it up guys!

This video is the best squats tutorial avaiable for beginners in the whole web. I always come back to it whenever I feel there's something not ok in my squat. Thanks a lot. Very useful.

Working on doing the splits all 3 ways. Have made several inches of progress in all in just 1 week. Look forward to doing them in the next few weeks.

Most of the bars in my gym have at least a slight bend to them and you need position the bar so rolls back / down, rather than sending you forward. This makes a big difference.

I have to do a video on how to build legs without the use of squats. I have seriously rotated hips but cannot afford a chiropractor. Declined bench, hanging, and locker hangs really really help get you straight...er. These tips are all phenomenal. Its just literally never altered for the handicap folk. I'll always lift. Not waiting years to fix a back to lose my years of gains. You can definitely fix your lower back at the same time.

Great video. Legs were “yoked” so had to watch and sub’d at end. I always avoided conventional squats because of my fear and opted to do dumbbell squats (along side of leg) with other leg exercises. Getting back into weightlifting after 20 year break from bodybuilding. Definitely like the focus on technique and increase of weight slowly. Thank you.

Very good but how wide you position your feet and how much out they point depends on your anatomy. There is no "correct" stand. You simply squat as you would sit which is why you shouldn't be over extending your back. That can cause lower back pains. Chest out, deep breath, brace the abs and shoulder blades/upper back while squeezing your glutes and sit down. A good indicator for how wide you should stand is try jumping a few times. Your body will naturally go into your strongest position. That is the position you should squat.

This is really helpful, but try to make a video on how to perform compound lifts with an Anterior pelvic tilt. Or just how to fix that inability to use the abs and glutes while squats n DLs ? It would be so great 🙏🏽💯

NEVER compromise form for weight. Form is key. It will help you stay away from injuries.

Beginners should box squat first then graduate to a full barbell squat. The box squat helps improve squat mechanics as it forces you to use more of your muscle fibers in your posterior chain. Furthermore, it allows you to slow the movement down, which gives you an opportunity to truly focus on your mechanics. And for God's sake, please use the abduction and adduction machine to build your inner and outer legs which are needed for the squat!
