5:00: To answer your question, when the Reaniman was going to finish Mark, aka Invincible, off, the cyborg took a look at his own reflection in the fountain. Horrified at being turned into a monster, it proceeds to commit suicide by plunging itself into the giant sundial as it seems to be the only way to kill the abomination. It wasn't trying to hurt anyone, not at first, because it was scared and confused, having escaped from the laboratory he was taken to and experimented on. He was only fighting out of self-defense and emotional instability brought on by the operation.

That Monster is a reanimated Corpse or "Reanimen". When it sees its reflection without the Mask covering most of its face it remembers that it was Human once and decides to take what little is left of its free will and kill itself to stop the suffering. What makes this extra twisted its a missing Student that has vanished just some time ago. at 05:20 you see an upgraded version of the Reanimen. Now its no longer Students but dead American Soldiers that got reanimated to server their Country in Death. They have 0 free will left and have enhanced bodies (plus they are pumped with several unspecified drugs to make them extra agressive :P ).

For the Opened Abdomen scene in the hospital. The doctors didn't do that, that was done by a villain. The villain, Battle Beast, has a massive Mace that they used to try and kill Invincible. In the scene, the doctors even said something along the lines of "What ever hit him was sharp!" Invincible and his dad, Omni-Man are Viltrumites. Omni-Man came from space and is super resistant to basically any Man Made weapon, the only thing that can potentially kill a Viltrumite, is another Viltrumite or something exceedingly strong. There is so much Gore and Violence in this show, that you could make hours of content for medical scenes with it.

In honor of the Second Season of Invincible, but I also think that there was a bit on an honor on Mortal Kombat 1, as the trailer for Omni-Man for Mortal Kombat 1 was released yesterday and Omni-Man is gonna be released on the 9th this November.
