can we just talk about how you're doing such an AMAZING job in this video, even though you're always saying you're not sure if you're doing a great job. leora, you do! all these books sound so interesting and how you talk about them, I immediately want to read all of them and learn more about feminism and all the other topics you talk about. thanks so much for this <3

This video comes with such good timing, I really want to start on more feminist literature. I have recently acquired Invisible women, together with some of these suggestions I now have a pretty solid tbr hah

Thank you for this video. There's something so empowering about women hyping up feminist literature, and it's not seen enough online!

Love this <3 Know my name is really good, and a few of these are on my tbr-list, and a few I might add now. ^^

Some recomendations of other feminist non-fiction books:

Women, race and class - Angela Y Davis
Delusions of gender: how our minds, society, and neurosexism create difference - Cordelia Fine
Paid for: my journey through prostitution - Rachel Moran
Women & power: a manifesto - Mary Beard
Invisible women: data bias in a world designed for men - Caroline Criado Pérez
Sex matters: how male-centric medicine endangers women's health and what we can do about it - Alyson J. McGregor
Entitled: how male privilege hurts women - Kate Manne

A few fiction ones that are great for sparking thoughts and discussions, and great when it comes to showing things that are hard to put into words:

Woman at point zero - Nawal El Saadawi
The power - Naomi Alderman
Anything resembling love - S. Qiouyi Lu

This is such a great video! A good mix of ones I’ve heard of and already read/want to read and ones I’ve never seen anyone else mention. Thank you for putting in the work to make it!

This is an interesting list. Also, your hair is beautiful. I love red hair. Yours is the best I've seen in a while.

You would love Rage Becomes Her by Soraya Chemaly, it’s my favorite feminist non fiction so far because the writing is amazing and she never repeats herself, and manages to talk about so many subjects without it feeling overwhelming

I have been wanting to read Invisible Women for such a long time. It's a book about statistics and data bias in the world and how it impacts safety protocols and design in tech and accessibility and stuff like that. I hope to get to it this year. I've also wanted to read more books by Latinx women (because I'm Mexican) and I honestly don't read from my own people often enough. There's just not a lot of latinx sci-fi and high fantasy out there (and those are my favorite genres), much less written originally in Spanish.

Great recommendations! White tears, brown scars is my favourite feminist non-fiction book..could you do a Dutch version of this video? I would love to hear about your favourite Dutch non-fiction books. I read de naakte waarheid after you mentioned it in one of your videos and i loved it 🤩

I loved Wordslut! Montell's other book Cultish was just as fabulous. She's so witty and her writing is so fun to read. Would definitely recommend some Bell Hooks on here and "Men Who Hate Women" by Laura Bayes (although this one is HEAVY and quite the difficult read).
