So happy I've already read a couple of this list - have to decide what I'm gonna read for your readathon!

This is such a great video, love how much variety you got in! I’m going to be reading Not That Bad by Roxane Gay and The Manifesto On How To Be Interesting by Holly Bourne. Excited!

I would really recommend A Day in the Life of a Smiling Woman, by Margaret Drabble! It's a collection of short stories that gives a really varied set of insights into women's lives as fully rounded people. Lot's of different perspectives, and inspiring/empowering in a very gentle way. Sort of like the sun hitting your face but in book form.

That’s a great list, and I think I’ve only read 2 or 3 of them.

It’s not a book about feminism, but I’m currently reading (and will be reading on 8 March) Angie Debo’s ‘A History of the Indians of the United States’, and the more I’ve learned about Debo the more amazed I am at what she achieved in her lifetime.

What a wonderful selection! I'd never heard of Happening, I've added it to my wishlist. Everyday Sexism is incredibly but also infuriating. If you haven't already read it I would recommend reading Maya Angelou's And Still I Rise, it has one of my favourite poems called Phenomenal Woman and I always feel empowered by it.

Hi, I am an avid reader, 2 physical books per month + audiobooks on the move. I have 2 daughters + 1 son that I encourage to read. On this video you suggest female empowerment books. For my children I would like to balance that with some male empowerment books. I welcome any referrals & pointers.
