Something about this was giving me peace. Like that feeling of serenity and wholeness you get at the end of a yoga class. It was either your voice or the music but it was moving!

I'm in the middle of a Louis Armstrong biography, Dreams from My Father, and Heavy.

I really enjoyed this video 🤗 All About Love sounds like a book everyone should read! And that's interesting you mention the erasure of politics and queer Black authors, I haven't read their books yet, but indeed I only learn very recently that Audre Lorde and James Baldwin were queer authors.

you always have such cogent thoughts on books. I'll definitely be getting to Bell hooks and Audrey Lorde once I don't have any school reading to attend to.

I love the sound of "all about love" - I'm not sure if you've read Mastery of Love, it's shorter and more of wisdom type book, but you may enjoy it! It has similar type of advice for interpersonal relationships.
I'll def be checking out Bell Hooks books!

A great reading list! I’m really interested in the books you’ve discussed here. My favorite non-fiction reads from the month are White Tears/Brown Scars: How White Feminism Betrays Women of Color by Ruby Hamad (such an amazing book) and They Called Us Enemy by George Takei, which is a graphic memoir about the time he spent in America’s internment camps.

I managed to read _The Radium Girls_ by Kate Moore early in the month, but guess I am continuing my other Non-Fiction November pick, _Making History_ by Eric Marcus into next month/possibly next year, just because it is a record of oral histories, so once you finish an entry, it feels like you need to take time before the next one.
My hold for _So You Want to Talk About Race_ also finally came in from the library this month, which was obviously fantastic.

This platform is designed to highlight and dismantle antiblack and misogynoir experienced by Black women in relationships with South Asians. Through the practice of healing and safe conversations, we evolve and "unlearn" antiblack ideologies to enhance the connection within the Blindian and BIPOC community. There will be resources and tips shared between our community to promote a growth mindset and the true understanding of solidarity
