Hi Lillie, I started carnivore on Easter Sunday 2023 (cold turkey); that was a big shock. What most probably don't get is most of you influencers work out religiously i.e. Saladino surfs everyday. I can't even stand on a board. I like how you talk about working out. Here is my 2 cents; your followers need to understand that the older you get the faster your muscle tend to go away. Like they say Use it or lose it. Three years I was beginning to have trouble with stairs and curbs; scary. Through the years I would join gym but I was only good for about 3 months plus I hate going to the gym. So, instead of joining another gym I bought a Total Gym, the one Chuck hawks. Even though the workout I’m doing is short and simple it’s effective and add to that the carnivore/ketovore way of eating my strength continue to improve. However, the past three weeks I got lazy; my energy and strength took a nose dive. This is for the old farts that follow you et al the doctors do resistance exercise to keep your legs strong because when they go everything else follows. In case you are wondering I just turned 84 this month. Was it worth it. 🥴😉

I also followed carnivore for 6 months religiously and it did heal many things. However, adding some kefir and blueberries to start radically changed my digestion, energy and overall sense of wellbeing .

It’s nice to hear personal experiences, carnivore changed my life from a person scared to go anywhere that didn’t have a restroom nearby to freedom to go places not based on a toilet 😮! As my body changes and I’m confused as to what I can do to be healthier, I love learning what worked for others so I can try it too. I’m highly allergic to certain vegetables, why the bloating & diarrhea. Someone without those issues might handle salads & veggies just fine so maybe a certain person’s YT channel is not for you but that’s not to say it’s not helping others. 50 years I’ve been in & out of doctors offices and only now the help of YT
searches have I found answers & healed myself. You 2 are relatable, honest, and very charismatic. TY for your content!❤

Great vid Lillie! I CANNOT DO strict carnivore, or keto. I have tried SO many times. I get SO sick (detox & fat adaption) but I was SO sick in my body with joint pain, chronic fatigue, thyroid, hair falling out and brittle, dry skin, rage, severe depression, hormonal stuff, obese and so much more. SO, I always blamed myself as a failure and gave up totally for years at a time, then I would try again and fail. It was a terrible cycle for many years. I felt like such a failure and wasted so many years still sick, getting worse rapidly, still eating SAD bc I just couldn't do the glamorous HEAL IT ALL carnivore diet! UGH!

It truly was never about losing the extra 80 lbs. I carried. That is a great side effect of good health, and I was looking forward to that BUT I just wanted to feel better, heal and get off the couch and have a life again, more than anything that was my main goal in it all and still is today.

What seems to be helping me heal slowly is BREAKFAST. I wake up at 5am each day & I have a cold brew I make at home, just plain. (I know the powerhouse of nutrients in eggs and red meat) At around 10am I have some red meat i.e.: cube steak, beef patty, gr beef, steak etc. & 3 eggs cooked in 3 tbs butter. (all salted) That is my breakfast 99% of the time every day. I am stuffed for hours after that.

Evening meal is usually by 6pm. I always eat real, whole foods, no processed stuff, so, a protein like, fish, chicken, pork, beef etc, some kind of veg if I am in the mood and a small carb, like small red potato with butter & sour cream, sweet potato with butter, small serving rice with butter etc. * I don't like the texture of animal fat on my meats, so after I prepare, I cut most of that away. I like and eat bacon too when I am in the mood.

Sometimes later in the evening, I will have a small bowl of berries, or piece of fruit. Right now, I am really into cherries, pears and tangerines. I only have carbs once per day with my evening meal. WAY BETTER than the way I used to eat, that is for sure! No more sugar (white sugar), cokes, sweet & creamy coffee throughout the day, dessert every day, cookies, frappes, fast food or processed foods, JUNK every day for 50 yrs! I stopped ALL OF THAT!

My body is healing. My gut was a total mess. I still cannot tolerate dairy, or my gut becomes like a fire ball! *Sometimes I can tolerate full fat Greek yogurt with dark cherries, half banana, & drizzled with honey IT IS delicious! I get plenty of sunshine now, I am active more and more, I do take an adrenal supplement, thyroid supplement, and a few others I believe are important for me based on my education in holistic and natural nutrition and healing. You are helping so many people girl! BIG thank you! This is so encouraging! :)

I recall from an older video that u have admitted to struggling with a dark upbringing and past. What ever that darkness entails for u in terms of how your personal life looks… know that I have been consistently following your content for a while and adore your smile and goofy sense of humor. The skin patches your husband had are a symptom of oxalate dumping. I had it really bad for 3 months, my face peeled everyday on my forehead and around my eyes! I had the same red patches on my torso and legs. The carnivore diet is a great way to detox the body, but can really put you through a healing crisis! I'm on 4 months on carnivore and I feel great!
