Two Met police officers under criminal investigation for sending photos of murdered sisters

Nicole Smallman and Bibaa Henry were murdered a fortnight ago in Fryent Country Park. Channel 4 News understands that the officers involved shared inappropriate photographs taken at the scene using an online messaging group. The Independent Office for Police Conduct is also investigating how officers handled calls to police to report the two women missing.

I don’t know how insensitive anybody could be so insensitive to take selfies with dead bodies. It is really beyond belief, and for the police to have done this is beyond disgusting. If the allegations are proven, then not only should those police officers be dismissed, then they also go to prison.
At a time when Britain needs to have more confidence than ever in the police, these selfie photographs can only severely damage that confidence, to say the least.

The police know more... They need to be investigated after getting sacked. To much police brutality has gone unnoticed, in the Britain. Total Transparency is needed on this case, it should not be pushed under the carpet like many others.

I’m disgusted by this, absolutely disgusted. This reminds me of the lack of professionalism not seen since the US leaks from Gitmo. They should be dishonourably discharged with immediate effect. I can’t even imagine how this makes the families feel - it’s absolutely abhorrent behaviour.

I currently have a complaint with the IOPC ready for decision of a police officer showing members of the public body cam footage of many things one including a young girl explain how she was raped.

we intend to drag the investigation out long enough for it to be forgotten

A Met cop who gave his name as “Gibb” came to my house and told me that if I kept complaining about a man who was stalking me, I would be arrested – because I was intimidating my stalker! I am an elderly woman with an inoperable brain tumour; apparently that’s very intimidating to stalkers. I recorded the whole conversation without him knowing, been biding my time as to what to do with my evidence.

How can the two cops who took the selfies go unnoticed by their fellow cops, Or is this an acceptable practice. Maybe check all cops what's app photo's sent during working hours. To weed out the truly wicked.
