Stronger glutes!

Here are three exercises that can be done at home or in the gym that work to strengthen the glutes, the primary muscles that support the side and back of the hip joint

There are options to make these exercises easier by reducing weight/resistance or using no weight/resistance. You can make them more difficult by increasing repetitions and/or weight

It is important to have strong glutes to support the hips and knees for walking, stairs, sports- really most activities

Repetitions and sets are simply suggestions and can be modified as needed.

Thanks. All this stuff seems so simple but somehow it never occurs to people who’ve lived a majority of their life so sedentary like myself. It’s good to have a guide.

Thank you for sharing these particular exercises. I just graduated out of PT for weak muscles around the hips. I had done bridges on a table, and used a band for side steps.

I just started going to the gym. These are good alternatives for the bridges, and the band.

Alyssa ! Thank you for your videos 😊 I have a question for you… I am late 60’s ( shhh) lol I use to be active and dance a lot. However, I am frustrated with my inner thighs, I have loose skin with indentations looking like cellulite kind of ripply sagging skin. Is it possible for someone my age to tighten and tone my legs to look pretty again? Is there a supplement I can take? I’m currently taking Collagen peptides. Would creatine work? I do eat nutritious foods, no candy, pastries, high fat except for peanut butter zero sugar. I eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
